  At what point in embryonic development does the soul develop?

  i was reading about some amazing developments in our understanding and manipulation of pluripotent stem cells, for those interested i will post the link below.. whilst i was reading it a question came to me - do believers think that these cells contain a "soul"?

  when does the soul enter the the biological entity?

  is it at the time of gamete production?

  That would be correct in WTS theology since they say the biological entity is the "living soul". What those that believe the soul is separable from the biology?

  Whilst I was reading it a question came to me - do believers think that these cells contain a "soul"? When does the soul enter the the biological entity? Is it at the time of gamete production? Or at conception? Maybe when consciousness arises?

  I would love to hear opinions - in the meantime delight in the awesomeness of biological science........

  awake 1980 12/8 p.11 "since the release of "the exorcist" some years ago many reports are on file (at bethel no doubt) of adverse effects it had on many...mureen was an atheist who saw the film..."i could feel something happening to me....there was something in my house as i could feel it with me whereever i went..." mureen studied with local witnesses and was cured.

  awake 1980 7/22 p.31 "excorsist 2 was shown recently on t.v.

  a mother and daughter from whitchita falls texas watched it together.

  The Exorcist was a I film I avoided throughout my JW days, I was too scared to watch. Soon after we were DF'd Nugget and I decided to to be rebellious and view it...........What a disappointment - most the film is peole talking around a table drinking coffee.

  The truth is French and Saunders spoof is more scary :-)

  Funeral for an atheist

  99% of all funerals that i have attended have been the wt version, where they preach about the resurrection into paradise and say little about the person who passed other than they were loyal to jah.

  the other 1% catholic for grandparents.. now that i consider myself an atheist, i got to wondering what do atheists plan for when they die?.

  if you are a non-believer what are your plans for when you die?

  2014 is coming to an end and I think many older, long serving witnesses are becoming disillusioned. This disillusionment may help them reprioritise what is really important in life.
