  does a female kingdom publisher need to wear a head covering if she conducts a bible study in the presence of a male publisher?.

  in a questions from readers item published in the watchtower of july 15, 2002, it was stated that a sister should cover her head if she conducts a bible study in the presence of a male publisher, whether he is baptized or not.

  further consideration of the matter suggests that a modification to this direction is appropriate.. if the male publisher who accompanies the sister while she conducts an established bible study is baptized, the sister would certainly want to wear a head covering.

  Some major Christian religions believe in Transubstantiation of the wine and bread, many others do not. Some Denominations serve Communion daily, weekly, monthly, annually. With no bonafide standard why pick on a JW for their particular oddity about Communion.

  Ferguson Shooting (Is my thinking on this all wrong.......)

  i think everyone here can agree that walking down the street, even in the middle of the street, is not cause for having a clip emptied in your ass......... i can understand how the black community would be outraged by the injustice of seeing another black man dead in the street at the hands of the police under mysterious circumstances....... i hope that i'm not succumbing to the attempts to assinate the already well impuned character of the dead man...... however.

  i can't help but think that this could all have been avoided by exercising the proper discretion with fore-knowledge of the disadvantages people of color have when they are dealing with law enforcement in the united states.

  it is not as if this disadvantage has only since recently came to light.

  Failing to cast your vote covers a lot of territory. A customer of mine who is LGBT did not vote in this last election although she felt strongly about inequality and discrimination. To busy with business I find a lousy excuse. Apathy, feelings of disenfranchisement with the whole system, feeling the system is rigged (Romney had a financial stake in a company that made voting machines). These are not good excuses to sit it out.

  What we see happening is Voting Centers on the outskirts of poorer neighborhoods and having closing times around 5:30.

  In our little town there were multiple polling centers, mine was around the block from my house.

  deep down inside, i have always been agnostic.

  the first few chapters in genesis are contradictory and differing.. no one has ever been able to answer my question: "why was satan ever created?".

  in order to not be subject to such a foolish idea that guys should be a ministerial servant by the time they are 23, [which is entirely not up to them btw].

  even though jesus wasnt even baptized till he was 30 and he was way more knowledgeble, .

  [god i wish i could spell check on here] were going to have a whole lot of young people getting married before the guy turns 23 i suppose.. or a lot more 'worldy' people getting jw mates.. because using my logic, which is usually questionalble, lol, id be the girl who would hury and date someone right out of high school.

  In ten years there will be an explosion of divorces. That's what happened in the late 1960s when the Wt. forced young people to marry rather than face DFing or probation. Thousands got married with only the Religion as their common factor. I would say 70% of those young people who got married before 23 divorced in their 30s and 40s. What a tragedy.

  Lowering the standards: The sign of a cult struggling for survival

  many of the recent changes in the jehovah's witness organization are a clear sign of a cult that is struggling for survival.

  the internet has change the scenario in a very dramatic way.

  many of us who for years struggled alone with doubts and cognitive dissonance thinking that we were the only ones, that we, as individuals were the issue, now know that there is a large community of individuals who see the organization as what it is, a mind controlling cult that is not only false, but also dangerous.. the governing body clearly understands the consequences of this awakening.

  We could wish it were so but that is not America. We are a divided country by wealth, race and several other important factors. If you are poor you get a Public Defender and if wealthy a legal team and the outcomes differ. You can rob a bank and spend the rest of your life in prison, you can be Jamie Dimon and cook the books for over a Trillion dollars and only pay a Fine (known as the cost of doing business in the finance world).
