So is this a new way they are trying to place literature ??
by troubled mind ini was at the 'dollar general' store this morning and in their magazine /book rack was a brand new "greatest man" book ?
i picked it up and looked it over and sure enough published by wtbts .....no price tag affixed so i assume a witness put it in there as a placement .... i took it to the check out clerk ,and told her "this is not a sale item , jehovah's witnesses publish this book and leave it with people free of charge " she just shrugged her shoulders and put it to the side ......

paragraph 10 reads:.

Then we had a talk about how it's bad to have the Reasoning book bound with the Bible because people might think we added to the Bible. Oh the irony!
The Reasoning Book came out in 1985 (I think) so its full of old light maybe thats the reason behind the above! Does the RS still get used at all because of that?

by poor places init really makes you wonder.
i mean, they're all pretty interchangeable, aren't they?
nobody would've guessed that today's special talk was new; it could've been replaced by about fifty other talks without anyone catching on.

It's sad because there are some very talented speakers in my hall. Imagine if they could speak as they want to speak!
You used to get a bit more of it when talks were 45 minut but when they reduced the time to 30 minutes using the same outlines it made it a bit more difficult for the speaker to talk freely and bring in other information.
Of course, if people were able to speak as they wanted to who knows what they would come out with. Heaven forbit! they might show some independent thinking!

I don't know what the article is but you would think it would be a fairly generic article as its the "special talk" where they encourage interested ones to attend.

Since Leaving "The Truth" Are You Really Happier?
by minimus inwitnesses say that when people leave "the truth", they get involved in a debauched life, misery, and general unhappiness.. they give experiences of some that left the "sweet fellowship" of the "brotherhood" and the awful results because of it.
then, they come back and their lives change 100% for the better!.
have you found life to be miserable and unproductive since "leaving jehovah"?.

So much happier. I have friends that are friends because they want to be and its not conditional on how active you are in the congregation.
I also no longer have to put up with guilt trips because i have a good job and career.
My mum asked me this question a few weeks back and when I said I was happier now she let things be. I'm hopeful that this attitude from my parents will continue as I know how fortunate I am compared to others here.

by Mattieu ini remember the whole process of selecting a host city for australias last international convention.
the australian bethel played the nsw government against the victorian.
it was so similar to choosing an olympic city and the big boys from bethel knew how to play the game.

Not the first time there has been both branding.
My dad went to one of the international conventions in the USA in the 1960s and still has the wine glass given out on the flight with dual branding with Pan-Am airlines and the title of the convention.
