wow, the responses roll in. lol. why i ask, since i have faded, i had an issue where several things went wrong right in a row. i was told by a family member that it was perhaps related to the fact that i may not have jehovah's blessing anymore since i am not attending meetings.

What are the outrageous things did the elders do to you?
by asilentone inthis is a true story, more than 10 years ago, i went to the memorial and there was a very hot bible student female.
we met each other, she gave me her phone number.

right before my baptism, two elders asked to make a shepherding call on me. i was young and single. they started out with the nice and warm fuzzy feeling things and then proceeded to question my motives for getting baptized. they felt that i was only getting baptized to marry a virgin witness girl and that once i got one, i would take off and leave the org.

While you were in the org, have you ever stumbled someone?
by asilentone inwhile you were in the org and you know the watchtower is a fraud, did you stumble someone on purpose and that person is no longer in the org, is that worth it?.

i hated and still do hate the term "stumbled". from a jw standpoint, i always thought that if someone was stumbled over what someone else did they were really not strong spiritually to begin with.
now, i just look at it as someone who gets "stumbled" is just a "crybaby"

and if having these intimate relations is only for child rearing, what were the people in the video clips doing. i would assume that they were trying for another child? lol

or his visual stimulation is only peaked due to an addiction to what he sees online, this is the only thing that really gets his equipment functioning possibly... the issue is not what she looks like, it is the fantasy that he could have built up in his mind. he may need some help. i am sure if she caught him online, it has not been his first time to a site watching.

The moment you know you will die, too
by dgp inat some point in life, everyone outside of the wtbts realizes that death if a fact of life.
no one gets to accept that fact easily, and the moment when you realize you will die, too, usually comes all of a sudden and takes you by surprise.
when you were a jw, did you have such a moment, even though the society told you you would never die?

i always thought i would die and never live forever unless brought back which was a long shot even when i was a good jw. my wife used to always talk about how she looked forward to the new system and never dying. over the last few years, she no longer says that. she nows talks about "paradise" as if she is going to be resurrected into it and always says that she hopes jehovah keeps her in his memory.

Typical JW Response
by Magwitch inmy 76 year old mother and her 94 year old mother (my grandmother) are still regular pioneering.
if anyone should understand helping the less fortunate it should be these life time pioneers.
however, this is a conversation i had with my them yesterday.... me: mom, the girls (my 2 teenage daughters) and i have volunteered to serve breakfast and lunch at the soup kitchen new year's eve.

i once did a community clean up project at a local park with local businesses and some local politicians and i got dragged through the ringer for doing it by the elders several years ago. they said i should have focused on the preaching work and not that because cleaning the only be temporary and the new system is forever. last time i went by, park still looks nice. new system? still not here.
