Yes Morpheus and booting bethelites puts more deluded man power in the boonies too. (At the expense of the London/New York congregations of course)

Congregation Reassignments in Ohio?
by My Name is of No Consequence infrom what i understand, a letter was read this past week in regards to congregation reassignments and that the elders want to meet with people at their homes to tell them where they have been reassigned.
obviously, this would be due to the merging and dissolution of congregations.
can anyone confirm this?.

"Also, we’ve all seen the new commercial style buildings that can be easily flipped and turned into a Kinkos or CVS."
Yes. Here in the UK in the list I put in my post on the previous page, the halls being sold in Bath and Bristol are the older valuable listed buildings from the Victorian era - the buildings bought and converted by the earliest congregations in the UK - bought cheaply just after WW2 and now in prime property spots fetching 500K up to £1 million pounds. And this is not the real prime area of London where the old branch is being stripped to pay for Chelmsford and then SOME £££££!
The congregations that are being moved from them intact (as opposed to the ones being dissolved) are being moved out to share 3 or 4 to a hall into the 1980's "quickbuild" halls about five to ten miles away - further in rural areas.
These are much less valuable - may be £100/150K.
No new builds round here. (West of England and South Wales) Just rearranging the deckchairs on the Titanic but slowly enough to make millions from it.
And of course every dissolved congregations assets go where? Every moved congregations assets go where? LONDON then NEW YORK

Thank you for engaging with me, Simon. However I take issue with ...
"He was r-e-p-o-r-t-i-n-g on it because the main-stream media, the state-funded broadcaster REFUSES to cover and report on these crimes. They have shown themselves to have an agenda, they need to go."

If you go back to my last post, what I said was that I believed "political correctness" stimied these investigations. I still do. But in the last five to ten years this has started to be addressed.
Because decent people don't sit on what they know for fear of being labelled racist or anti-Muslim by left wing "hand-wringers" these things are coming out.
Go back ten years earlier and it was decent people fearful of speaking out against the Saviles and Weinsteins of this world.
And there are many many decent people on your forum who would like to scream from the rooftops about the shunning and child abuse cover ups of the JW's - but they don't - for fear of the consequences.

I'd like to add some halls. And some dissolved congregations. This is with a fifty mile radius of Bath, England, UK.
Bristol (Redland) Selling Sept 18
Bath (Oldfield Park Hall) Selling - both congregations moved out to nearby halls and renamed Bath West and Bath East. Ten years ago there were three Bath congregations.
Clevedon Sold 2014
Monmouth Sold 2016
Cinderford dissolved 2017.
Bristol (Hengrove) dissolved May 2018. This cong had already absorbed half of Bristol (Stockwood) dissolved in the late 2000's)
Portishead dissolved 2014

Well Simon, I guess I just like to be able to ask questions when folk make assertions to support their view.
I'd rather find out facts than believe things which are untrue because they support how I feel. I've done that for decades when I was a believing JW and I try not to do it anymore on important matters.
So if Barry can say which prison Yaxley/Lennon was sent to and whether it has 80% Muslims and perhaps the source for that figure then that would be helpful. If it is true then it surely supports his view that Yaxley/Lennon is being mistreated. I believe from his lawyer's statement that Yaxley/Lennon was largely in solitary confinement, which unless it was at his own request would concern me greatly.
Moving to your question - I am concerned about both type 1 and type 2 sexual abuse of children and I believe the full weight of the law should be brought to bear against anyone guilty of such crimes regardless of their race or religion. I believe that "political correctness" has stimied these investigations in the past just as "protecting institutional reputations" stopped sexual abuse investigations until the late 1990's.
I further believe that foreign nationals that perpetrate these crimes should be deported at the end of their prison sentence. But that is just me.
What I don't want is some one who has at best a chequered history (Y/L) being the catalyst for allowing a trial to collapse on a technicality because they cannot use a better forum to protest in.

Hi Everyone. Answer to prayer countdown...
by Stumpy ini've been lurking for about 3 months now and thought i'd better finally sign up.
you have all been an immense help to me as i have come to realize that this isn't the truth so i want to say a great big thank you!
what a crazy, emotional ride it is to finally face the truth about the doubts that i have carried for many years.

Hi Stumpy!
So glad things are progressing well for you. Great to hear from you.
Simply putting it on the forum how you have successfully moved on is an inspiration to the rest of us and to lurkers who are fearful to comment but read avidly.
Although you seem disinclined to, an occasional quarterly update and exchange would be really helpful and worthwhile.
Best wishes,
Freddo

The future of young Witnesses
by john.prestor inthere's a convention being held near my hometown, and as i was passing by i saw a father taking his young children for a walk outside.
and i wondered what would happen to those children, what they would experience at school and in their adult life.
i wondered if they would grow up repressed and anxious and fearful and full of guilt like i did, although i was not raised a witness.

Sex before marriage
by Jules Saturn infor ex jws, pimos, pomos, faders, born again christians, agnostics, atheists, etc.
what is your opinion regarding sex before marriage, has your view been influenced since you left?
in western society, you’ll probably find yourself ridiculed to be an 18 year old virgin so i am curious to hear opinions from here.
