  If you could choose one book to suggest to a JW...

  i'm sure this isn't an uncommon question but i'll ask anyway.. suppose you had the chance to suggest one book, essay, article, or other writing with the goal of helping a loved one wake up... which one would it be?.

  bear in mind the goal is to subvert the programmed hair-trigger defenses that cause a complete shutdown of critical thinking.

  this automatically excludes anything that would directly place the wt society or its history in a negative light.

  Jehovah's Witnesses - The Bible Report

  Some Jehovah's Witnesses have read this book simply because it claims that Jehovah's Witnesses are indeed fulfilling bible prophecy.

  Upon reading it many have left.

  Feb. 15th WT - WT Society says DFed Ones are Lawless- Just Like Demons

  i would assume that some or a good number of us here as normal humans in this society - consider " lawless " actions to include murder , robbery, extortion, rape, child abuse, war , terrorism, etc.

  the wt society has their own definition of what's considered " lawless ".

  anything that's considered a disfellowshipping offense in the jehovah's witnesses is now considered " lawless ".

  Who do I think makes the law?

  Jesus Christ!

  Here is a law or command from Jesus Christ:

  Luke21:7-8

  " He said: "Look out that YOU are not misled; for many will come on the basis of my name, saying, ‘I am he,’ and, ‘The due time has approached.’ Do not go after them.

  Did you see the law?

  Do not go after them.

  Obey Jesus Christ!

  Verifiable Former Bethelite Willing to Answer questions

  i am a former active poster here, former elder, former bethelite and pretty much known by people on the xjw boards since the mid 90's.

  gawd that makes me sound old.. i notice that a great deal of uproar is being made by allegations of a hide in the closet alleged bethelite.

  to counter the damage caused by this claim, i am happy to address any questions people may have about bethel, protocol, etc.. i was at the canada branch for 11 years, worked in multiple areas including the legal department, service desk and writing dept.

  Isaiah 66:5

  Hear the word of Jehovah, YOU men who are trembling at his word: "YOUR brothers that are hating YOU, that are excluding YOU by reason of my name, said, ‘May Jehovah be glorified!’ He must also appear with rejoicing on YOUR part, and they are the ones that will be put to shame."

  1/ Has the Watchtower Society and its Governing Body excluded (disfellowshipped) any brothers through the use of God's actual name?
  
  2/ Is there any other religion that excludes brothers through the use of God's actual name?
  
  3/ Who will be brought to shame, the brothers being excluded or the brothers doing the excluding?

  When studying 2nd Thessalonians Chapter 2 consider these questions:
  
  1/ Is it the true Christian Temple or the false Christian temple that gets undermined by a "man of lawlessness"?
  
  2/ Are Jehovah's Witnesses and their faithful and discreet slave in the true Christian Temple?
  
  3/ Is Satan successful because he undermined false religion or true religion?
  
  4/ If Satan is to undermine false religion then why did Paul bother warning those Christians who would be around immediately before Jesus Christ returns at the conclusion of the system of things?
  
  
  5/ Do the Watchtower Publications REALLY answer those pertinent questions?

  i kinda figured i would read many negative things concerning jw, i was not disapointed............ i say if you ae not happy not just in the jw, but anywhere, life it too short move on.. .

  i myself am a wittness, an anointed witnes .

  there is no shame is sharing yr hope and i am varry happy with mine.

  2nd Thesalonians 2

  But the lawless one’s presence is according to the operation of Satan with every powerful work and lying signs and portents 10 and with every unrighteous deception for those who are perishing, as a retribution because they did not accept the love of the truth that they might be saved. 11 So that is why God lets an operation of error go to them, that they may get to believing the lie, 12 in order that they all may be judged because they did not believe the truth but took pleasure in unrighteousness.

  Are the people described in 2nd Thessalonians Chapter 2 Happy too?
