  My son's and I's first Valentines Day, Friendship day celebration since our awakening!!

  so this weekend will be my first time celebrating friendship day since stop celebrating due to being a jw for years.

  the most exciting part for me and makes me very happy is finally to have my son participate and be involved in normal activities at school with classmates.

  no longer will i allow him to be ostracized at school due to the wt "cult's" ridiculous reasoning why some things are not okay to participate while others are okay.

  The Heart shape has always been a fave of mine. But I was told it was evil due to Pagan origins. I didn't care. I drew them all the time. I now have several heart shaped stones of various different types... Rose Quartz, Hematite, Amethyst, etc. I even found one just taking a walk at my Dad's one day. Tell me, if the heart shape is so evil, why did Jehovah make this stone?

  
  

  Edited to add: That wolf mug that the stone is propped up on is a gift from my Mom years ago. I treasure it now that she is gone.

  As I pointed out to my Dad, if there is only 1 pedophile allowed to remain as a JW, then this is not God's organization.

  Did you get " Counseled " about the Music you Listened to While you were a JW ?

  from the time i was a small boy - i loved rock n' roll music.

  beatles, rolling stones, led zeppelin, hendrix.

  i started getting slighted for the music i listened to as i lay in my bedroom listening on headphones to led zeppelin's song " black dog " at age 14 with my elder dad looking suspiciously at me as i'm rocking out .

  My Dad used to listen to our record albums (back in the day they were vinyl LPs for you youngsters).

  I was never counseled but my younger bro sure was. He had Ozzy Osbourne's "Speak of the Devil" album. My Dad was furious, throwing it on the ground. My bro said "Don't worry Dad, I am going to return it to the record store." And to himself he said "And I'm picking up the cassette tape."

  I have too much crap!! How to declutter/dehoard.....

  some areas of our home are very nice, tidy, clean.

  and other rooms are just junk and clutter and clothes and papers.... omg.

  and now that we are getting older, we realize that we face a time of transition -- and this is hard to cope with too, as we believed the lie that we would never get old, etc.

  I have to declutter too.

  I'm currently working on my Dad's place. Am hoping the auction will happen this spring. It will all be gone and I can then sell his house.

  I am also working on my stuff. Once I get a big enough pile, I'll send it to auction too.
