  How would you respond if a Witness tells you that you are "negative?"

  when i bring a subject up and then talk about old wt's or the blood fraction, i occasionally get that response.. yes, i know i can reply, "but i am telling you the truth.

  don't you want the truth?".

  but i am looking for something more subtle, something that can help a witness to get beyond their cognitive dissonance.. but without a standoff.

  Any time someone tells me I'm negative I respond with ... "Actually, I am a realist". You can actually see the wheels turning (or is that smell the smoke burning?) on that one.

  my jw daughter is coming from montreal on the 29th of july....... i was in hospital for pain management-thanks watchtower !!

  I wish she actually was coming to see you again. Thank you for bringing this forward for the newer members. It does show people who have been blinded that the WTS has a lot of issues. As I've said before, when I was little, my mother told me that one of Satan's primary goals is to break up families. When I see what the WTS does, I truly believe that Satan runs this organization, not God.

  For me, I know my father regrets not seeing his son and his grandchildren. Yet he won't set up any sort of meeting and if he does accidentally call them (because he hits the wrong button on his phone), he back peddles like crazy when my brother tries to arrange a visit. The WTS has messed up so many people and their families. I sure hope they can be held accountable one day.

  So basically they are saying not to be a victim of their own education/publications. I figured that out years ago!

  my experience?

  in the past few years, i liked to research stuff on the internet for talks.

  and for experiences, i used to google jw's to see news articles.. then one day last year, i saw this site, and it said that it discusses anything related to jw's.

  Google "Jehovah's Witness". Over the last year or so have read some of the threads here and decided to sign up as some things have been happening with my father, a Ministerial Servant. I want to be prepared to help him should he be 'cut off'. The rumour about the 'Year of the Great Apostacy' has me a little worried.

  I was uncertain about joining as I have seen some negative things here... a lot of bitterness and anger. But I realize that this is all part of the healing process and hope that I can help others as well as have others help me. I have learned a lot over the last year or so and am grateful to all those who have come forward to share their experiences and knowledge. You have confirmed for me what I already suspected but didn't have all the hard and fast evidence. Thank you to everyone!

  ive said this in the past but really why am i at the door...not to sell vaccum cleaners!

  we dont "force" people to change religions.....we just force them to stay in with disfellowshiping......."we don't hate gays".......we are just waiting for them to be burnt to death at armagedon..

  last night the co came to visit.

  he gave a talk that centered around a christian's ability to function well within the organization.

  there are many christians who are having problems in their personal lives and this can be traced to one thing.

  Years ago, when I was a kid, my Mom told me that one of Satan's primary goals was to break up families. She said he delighted in doing this as it was directly against God's arrangement for the family to be whole.

  From this latest talk, I must now conclude that the WTS is being directed by Satan, not God.
