This whole promotion of the jw dot org website is a bit nauseating when you know it wasn't that long ago they were espousing the evil-ness of the Interwebs and all the devices used to connect to this invention from Satan.

What is the alternative to JW?

i mean this with all due respect, i would like to hear from genuine people who think jw have it wrong and then what is the truth?.

im not talking about silly little quibbles here and there.. is jehovah real?

If JWs believe all of the Bible to be true, then it is very sad just how uneducated JWs truly are.

There are clear factual errors starting right in the book of Genesis where God creates the Earth, day, atmosphere, soil, water, and plants all prior to creating the Sun. This is 100% false.

sorry but i really feel like i need to rant right now.

recently my dad was made an elder so my family has been doing a lot more "theocratic" activities lately.

every morning i wake up and put on my itchy dress and stupid makeup and heels and then pretend that i love what i'm doing and that everybody is my friend when in reality i feel horrible and all the other teenage girls at my hall hate me for some reason.

Black Wolf, are you currently working on an art painting/project? If not, perhaps it would be a good time to start one. It could be added to your portfolio. Since you love horses, have you done any drawings or paintings of them? How about one of your current mount when you take your lessons?

My parents wouldn't let me do either of these things so I am very happy for you if you can do both!

I finally took some riding lessons a few years ago. I loved it!

None of the authors of the Bible ever met Jesus. Many Christians do not know this.

Many believers haven't even read the holy book they believe in. They just want to believe what is served up to them by the religious authorities of their church. Facts and historical accuracy are not for them. But this leaves an issue with any group claiming to have religious truth (which they basically all claim in one way or another).

One just has to read the Bible to see there are issues with these religious claims versus The Bible versus facts and reality.

Bart Ehrman challenges any believer to conduct a comparative analysis of the gospels. They contradict one another and not just once or twice, but many times. How can one claim to have any 'truth' when one's belief system's foundational book is flawed in this manner not to mention containing factual errors?

How do you feel about the expression "The Truth"?

it's amazing how the expression "the truth" has become such an ingrained term used by witnesses.. "we have 'the truth'".

"is he 'in the truth'?".

most here have found out so many facts about the organisation, and felt the effects of being "gut-punched" as we realised these facts.. so how do you feel about the expression "the truth" now?.

Hey Black Wolf, I can relate to how you feel.

You know what I've told you in the past. Put your life plan together. This is a temporary situation you're in until you become an adult.

Maybe put a vision board together and keep it in your room to remind you every day what your dreams are and that you are going to go for them. You said you want to go to College... well you know what I'm going to say. Just Do It!

Is it possible for you to get a part-time job? That's what I did. I baby sat and worked in town at the variety store and later the grocery store. I got too busy with life things.

When my Mom pushed me to go out in Field Circus, I asked her to show me the scriptures that specifically mention handing out Watchtower and Awake! magazines as the definition of 'works'. She could not and it ticked her off.

As for getting baptized, she actually felt we needed to be adults and used Jesus as the example. He was a grown man before be got baptized. Maybe you could use this.
