hello all- nice forum.i have been contemplating a fade for a while, and i have been reading various sites such as this one.
i have seen all kinds of things that have made me think.
but something came to mind lately, and i wanted to throw it out there-satan was cast down to the earth, and he is supposedly the cause of all imperfection.

If you start looking at the logic of Biblical and religious claims, you are going to see flaws.

the jw's cite abstaining from blood along with other cherry picked commandments.

this is very hippocritical and if they are going to obey one commandment they should be obeying the rest.. just as a bit of fun then... what would jw's be like if they obeyed every rule in the bible?.

I think one of the problems this group is about to or is already facing is a pool of 'qualified' men to lead it.
If elders and MS's are stepping down, if people leave, they'll have no one to run the Borg. So what happens in this case? They have to lower their standards to allow for a broader group of men to lead. They may even have to issue nu-lite that 'the women' can now be appointed.
( Just as an aside, that term 'the women' grates on my nerves like there's no tomorrow! )
by their own admission the jehovah`s witnesses have acknowledged to the royal commission that 1006 child sex abuse cases against members of their religion have been handled in house.. 1006 cases over 65 years , equals to more than one , every month , every month , every year , for the next 65 years.. a judicial committee consists of 3 elders ,so 3 elders handled 1006 sexual abuse cases over 65 years equals 3018 elders who know about this abuse and never contacted the authorities .either police or ,child protection services .. what sort of morals or ethics do these so called christians have ?.

I think that it is becoming very clear in all this that the GB's use of the Bible and Holy Spirit isn't working.
These men need the secular authorities to enact mandatory reporting of child sexual abuse to force them to do the morally upright thing.

The GB wants secular authorities to make reporting child abuse mandatory to help the GB do the right thing. This is key right here.
After that, all bets are off unless it is a law that victims must be compensated. The GB will do nothing that they said they would consider unless there is a law stating they must.
well i know i've been posting a lot of topics like this lately and i'm sorry if i sound whiny or annoying.
my parents were asking me why i was so upset lately and i ended up just telling them the whole truth.

I am 52 years old. I was told Armageddon was coming 'soon' , 'imminently', 'it's just around the corner' when I was a child, a teenager, and a young adult.
I am now a middle aged woman and Armageddon has not yet arrived. What do you think the odds are that it is coming soon knowing this?

Jehovah's Witnesses, and their former group the Bible Students, have been saying Armageddon is coming soon for over 100 years. Obviously, this is a lie.

One of the things that comes to the fore through all of this is that whilst Jehovah's Witnesses claim they attempt to be morally higher than everyone else and ensure they have clean congregations in reality fail miserably at both of these.
They need the secular authorities to force them to report the sexual abuse of a child because their interpretation of an ancient scripture is prohibiting them to do this.
What does that say about the Bible? This foundational book these people use, supposedly from God Almighty himself, is holding them back from doing the morally upright thing.
It boggles the mind.
