(i never was a jw, but the basics were not so different).. .
i was brought up (raised, for my us friends) in an off-shoot of the plymouth brethren gospel hall culture.
Joe, I think anger is a natural emotion that can be used to channel it towards positive actions to counteract these harmful groups.
What angers me is that they are not regulated by law. Time to get this in place.
I lost a cousin due to the Botchtower blood policy. She was a beautiful lady. She left behind a husband and 3 young children.

the gnostic wing of christianity, if it can even be called that today, has quite a few differences to christianity and catholicism.
if the old gnostic christians were here, they would hardly recognize what has happened to the original orthodox catholic church or its various offshoots in protestantism and islam.
No. My time is limited and once you realize it's all based on mythology, you tend to spend your time doing way more productive and useful things.

Edited to add: Jehovah was unavailable to prevent this accident. What I learned pretty early on in life is that being a JW saved you from nothing... Absolutely Nothing.
at one point, didn't the society teach that adam and eve either would not be resurrected or, if so, they would not attain the kingdom of heaven?
i remember that a number of years ago, a jw told me that john the baptist also would not obtain eternal life in the kingdom of heaven.
their evidence was matthew 11:11, where jesus says, "verily i say unto you, among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than john the baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.".
Will John the Baptist See Heaven?

unlike most nano's i'm going to try to finish a novel instead of starting it, but the basic goal - writing 50,000 words in 30 days - remains the same.
i have about half of a science fiction/military action novel i've been fooling around with for about a year.
i'm going to finish the thing and try hard to get something published.
