Some Single Sisters' Problems with Brothers
by friday77 infirst of all, i'm a newbie to this site, so i hope that there will be some response to my thread on this particular topic (which i have plenty to relate about).. i wonder why some single (and a few married) brothers in the org have shown a great deal of disrespect for single sisters?
i am bringing this issue up because not only myself but also my sisters [i have four (4) other in my immediate family] along with 3 of my cousins (who have been dedicated and baptized since adolescent age) plus my own close girlfriends have experienced being gossiped/slandered by a host of brothers who think that they are "all that" and jah's gift to women on planet earth!
as a matter fact, when one brother in particular [whose uncle is an elder, brother was a regular pioneer/temporary worker at bethel and cousin was a ministerial servant] at a nicely-populated gathering saw myself, two (2) of four sisters, one of cousins and a few of my close friends being approached as well as introduced to a number of handsome, well-dressed brothers to us via two (2) of the family members whom hosted the event.

The WTS is a male-dominated societal institution and dominance over the 'weaker sex' runs deeper in the rank and files of the Dubs males. I have seem some JW elders and ministerial servants who are so rude, uncaring, cold-hearted- a far cry from the fruits of the holy spirit they claim to posses. This brings up a partnent question: Should we really give double honors to those who lead among us?

We've left the WT and doing fine....
by boyzone ini love my sons and i'm just so proud of them all!!
i have 4 fantastic boys, all brought up as jw's and all out.. since we all left (me and hubby included) our lives have never been richer or happier.
to give you an idea what i'm on about, my youngest son is 9 years old and he's had a rough time over the last year.

Since then, many of us have been released from bondage of the WTS and set free. By the way, where is Ray Franz today, what is he doing? Does that goodman, humble and down-to-earth Dude blogs, attends this internet discussion? Besides Ray, have we ever had another 'Ray Franz' on the scene? Being an elderly and well advanced in ages, please what is the best way to provide financial support to him so that he is able to keep on his works? I do not want his to suffer any wants but be happy every day considering the groundbreaking books he has authored.

Elder Stranded at Airport after Week-long Elders' School
by OnTheWayOut ina lady that comes to our ex-jw meetup is a df'ed jw and still has some contact with her jw parents.
anyway, her father went to the week-long elders school in patterson, ny and they dropped him and a bunch of other elders off at laguardia airport.
the ny jw's were done with them.. .

That is so sad that this elderly Elder faced such a situation at his age of 80! Iam happy it was resolved. However, I would not put blame on the WTBS for causing this mess. In this situation, I think the organisation is given a 'pass' However, I criticise it for not providinng necessary escort to this elderly man.

Is The WT A Religion Or a Business?
by Bangalore inmany claim that the watchtower organization is a business disguised as a religion?
is this the most accurate way to describe it?
or would you say it is a religious institution with some corporate or business strategies thrown in?.

Is this really true or a joke? Please, where do I get information about the WTS's investiment in "Rand Cam Engine Corp"The WBT$ is a business..They own thier own religion..They are a major Player in the War machine..
The WBT$ and I,are both invested in War!.....The WBT$ owns 50% of the Rand Cam Engine Corp...
..I own 500 shares of the Rand Cam Engine Corp.......We need a war to make profit....
.If we had our way..We`d train house cats to invade a country..Any country..

Saddest day of my life
by WuzLovesDubs ini followed my instincts that the changes my 14 year old son is going through ran deeper than teenaged angst and i made an appointment for him to see a counselor through the county so he could talk to someone.
it took two months to get it.
we went yesterday, he and i. i spoke for a little about our life now, including the separation, the house, the jws, the shunning, my husbands alcoholism and his treatment of the kids, my husbands familial bipolar and depression and adhd...and then she spoke to my son separately.

Iam very sorry to hear this stressfull time you are in. Please, keep up the spirit, do not give up. In a large way, thank you for taking action to seek professioinal help at a critical time of urgent need. Thank also to those who have responded to with a pledge to provided needed counseling or support. I think that is so tremedous and an amazing way to show how caring we are for each other. My best wishes and prayer for and the loved son. I hope you make the best of the situation. Please, keep us updated.

the numerous stories are very troubling.
although some members have denied this existance of this lllegal activity, the underlying question continues to puzzle our minds: is wts behind stalking, espisonage and harrassment of ex-jws?

I have already ordered this book by Ray Franz including his other book. I cannot wait to read about this humble, down-to-earth man.By and large,the bible does encourages us to truely examine all writting if they are true or not. Nowhere does it says this cruitiny is only limited to all organisations except the WTBS.

He told them that if they have to go sneaking around and spying on people instead of asking them, then there is something wrong.
With that he picked up his briefcase, tipped the bible, books magazines etc, on the table.
He then said something along the lines of "You can have that lot back, because I'm not coming back again."
(Gordy) Very powerful revealation. This brings to a very partnent and important quetion to pounder. If all elders who were spying on people's lives apparently believed as do the governing body of JW, that they are lead by "Holy Spirit" as to their conduct including stalking, as we to believe that WTBS is truely being a 'spirit-directed organisation' as it always claim to be? I strongly beliee this is a serious food for thought. Please, think of people whose lives have suffered ireparable mental anguish, perpetual enslavement, broke-up families, death, rape,emotional permanent scars, etc,. What else can we say then?
