Hmmm..., why not organise it? We have all the experiences in our group. Please, think seriously about it. Afterall, we are a significant block. People like Franz M. Ray could come in to give a speech in real time about his experiences. Kaylia Abrahams too might be able to get a place. Randy Watters would likewise make a good speech. Then at the end of the day, we could have a book signing ceremony for new releases. Its high time we could think about doing this. Just one day a year will be fine. Then it can it can become an annual event. Lady Lee would likewise, could show up to share her valuable experiences. As usual, Ex-Bethelites would be available to lead their organisation skill as well as former elders. People who have accepted blood transfusion would be welcome to share their near-death experiences and how they have fought sucessfully to overcome the WTBS grip on their 'bible trained' conscionce. All disfellowshiped, dissassociated or faded ones would be more than welcome. We might then form a new organisation to defend ourselves against attacks, harrassments and stalkings from the WTBS. Small thing can become a giant idea. Please, how about making it an annual fellowship event ? Please, what do you think?

"I was invited to spy on a brother critical about the society. The other servant and me were to follow the brother by car and sit, wait and watch where his go at night. His wife believed he had another woman.." freetosee
Wow, exactly with me. I was so lucky to find out about them spying about me but they not knowing that I was aware about that. Well, they would follow me all days and nights. I think they were counting hours as field service. It was so well organised plan with a ring leader. I was so lucky to get this ring leader's car number plates as a 'trophy' :) This site is so great. Its so amazing that people regardless of their former station in life are freely sharing their experiences. wow, great really. -

National Geographic or Awake?
by eyeslice inwith the imminent demise of the awake, being 'simplified' to a monthly journal; which monthly journal would be your magazine of choice - national geographical or awake?
i read national geographic - it is well researched, it has fantastic photographs, and is printed on quality paper.
with all the resources available to the wtbts, why hasn't the awake gotten any better?

Hi Eyeslice,
Your picture looks like that of Salman Rushdie. Please, why? Any connection?

Elders stepping down - what got your goat?
by eyeslice inmany here formerly served as elders.
what trivia/humiliation got your goat about how you were treated as an ex-elder?.
the obvious is the cermonial handing in of the elder's book - "you have been stripped of your rank and are no longer worthy of such a fine book".

I was wondering why an Ex-Elder JW on this site called SadElder, refers to the WatchTower Service Department as the Bethel CIA ? Meanwhile, another one going by his nickname Larry , agonizes on why he needed to resign as an Elder, by stating that, "After a year or so of investigative research, I could no long serve in good conscious as an Elder". Hmmm.., what is this investigative research he is refering? who was making it? How comes it takes so much like a whole year? Is not this a tip of the iceberg for a secretive episonage of the highest order on the part of the WTBS?

Dumbfounded by COC
by eyeslice inover the weekend, i read for the first time crisis of conscience.. whilst i was already familiar with much of the material on chronology, 1874, 1914, etc.
i was dumbfounded to learn how the governing body actually works and conducts itself.
i think that many of us who have been elders in the past can really relate to ray and the battle he faced.. i must admit, i thought it was just me, and the battles i have faced with local hard-line elders.

We're not a cult because we don't have communes
by carla inhave you ever heard a dub say that they are not a cult because they don't live in a commune?
(aside from all the other reasons they are a cult- see other thread about wt mind control) my question is, isn't bethel rather like a commune?
and what about the wt farms?.
