  How many lives have been RUINED by the Organization? Experiences?

  i think that some people deserve to be excommunicated, such as pedophiles.

  but what about the tens of thousands of others that have their life wrenched out from under them by being disfellowshipped?.

  and what about those that have a family member that died because of not receiving a blood transfusion?

  If we all committed while having 'full knowledge' of what we were committing to then most of us would probably still be in. The JWs should at the offset offer a 'Bible' study along with a history of the organization and it's teachings. This way, each person would be fully informed as to what they were getting involved in.

  Reniaa knows this isn't the way the witnesses play it. That 'knowledge' of the history of the org, is buried deep and covered over by the men at the top (GB). They allow you to become baptized with 'partial' knowledge of THEM, and then will disfellowship you if you dare to uncover it and question them about it.

  ...A Doggie Day in Hell...

  ever have one of those days..when you go outside,and part of your dogs throat has been ripped out?...

  that was the begining of my day... i have no idea what attacked him..whatever it was,was f*cking vicious!

  !..there was a 2 inch hole of missing fur and skin on his neck.....and a severed artery......also a 2 inch hole of missing fur and skin on his leg.....and..another severed artery.....there was blood everywhere... the nearest vet is 1 1/2 hours away..i phoned in and told the doctor to be ready for me... i tied the dogs wounds up with tee-shirts to try to minimilize the bleeding..then put a 100 lb bleeding dog,in the back of the truck..........poor dog tried to stand up in the truck..his neck started to gush with blood..i got him to lie down..the bleeding slowed.....i jumped in the truck and drove..that was one long hour and a half... the doctor came out..looked at the dog,ran back in and brought out a stretcher..it took three of us to bring him in so he would`nt move around..that dog has spunk!..lol!!.

  So sorry to hear what you and your dog had to go through, but am so glad that he's gonna be ok. You do know that your gonna have to shun him now. But seeing as you live together, it'll probably be ok to have 'business dealings' with him. When is he next due to do his business.......?

  Embarrassing Moments on the Platform

  i was thinking the other day about a potential answer to the frequent party question 'what was your most embarrassing moment?'.

  immediately my mind went to my last experience on the theocratic school.

  as an aspiring ms, i volunteered at the last minute to give a #4 talk on a particular individual (ignorant of what i was about to get myself into).

  A sister was up giving a talk about why you shouldn't use certain phrases as they are really just substitutes for swearing. She went through a list of examples of taking God/Jesus name in vain --- like 'Golly', ' Jeezo' etc. She concluded, stood up to leave and tripped off the platform while shouting out "Gee Whizz". (one of the other examples she used). Hilarious.

  i just read on the accesshollywood website that michael jackson wanted his kids to be raised by his mother if anything happened to him.

  those poor children will now have to endure an even more bizarre and f***ed up chilhood than before.

  In the British newspapers today its being said that the kids may be split by the court. The kids themselves are said to share the view that their nanny Grace Rwaramba, is best placed to raise them. An insider said: "They desperately want Grace to look after them and hope to be allowed to give their opinions to the court."

  The eldest two will be allowed to have a say, but they could yet be placed with their grandfather Joe. All the children are currently being looked after by MJs parents Katherine and Joe. Last night their lawyer insisted that Michael wanted his mother to raise his kids if anything happened to him. "It was agreed that she can best provide a stable, loving environment for them."

  Other insiders claim the whole Jackson clan back this suggestion. Jacko's ex-wife Debbie Rowe, who gave birth to the eldest two, has a legal claim to them - but is thought unlikely to seek their custody.

  It was discussed in my old KH on Thurs night as part of the KM. Various articles in the Awake were highlighted and twice, the article was mentioned about how people should be free to choose their religion. It was spoken of as people being able to become JWs. They just don't see the hypocrisy of the their words.

  My mother in law and brother in law are both in that congregation and my hubby e-mailed both of them about it when it first came out. I know they would have in their mind what my husband said to them about it. The brother shuns us, but the mother doesn't. People are blinded to the hypocrisy of the WT. It was mentioned twice yet you wonder if anyone thought, "wait a minute" don't we do that very thing? There's nothing as blind as those that can't see.
