excellent oompa! thats really cool. what kinda shape was it in? how big is a 15 pound cannon ball? was it sheltered from the elements? was it situated in the tree in such a way that it would have stayed there for many years yet? having it in your hands, did it remind you of standing in front of the toilet taking a leak? :p

I found a 15lb cannon ball in a tree....who else can i tell this stuff to?....
by oompa inso i gave it to a local museum...i do not know if it is civil war or revolutionary.....but it was about 7 feet up in a tree on my grandpas property....found it by total accident...but now i may get a geeky metal detector..........oompa.

Have you been dissecting the wall, the flower, or both? Have you been this analytical your whole life? This story that your telling, truly is a testament to your (over)active imagination indeed.
First off, I will give ya a round about "description" of myself. Somehow it seems like the right thing to do here. I haven't posted my "story" yet, cause I'm not enirely sure what i want or need to say. I'm looking forward to the day that I can just "be myself" and just type away.
I am in my late 30's. Was born and raised a 3rd generation JW. Married, divorced after about 4 years.
One thing about being a JW, if you are in for any length of time, is that you become familiar with the bible. JW's being so fundamentalist in this regard, it is often hard to see past the things you are "taught". Much like getting up in the morning, many go through the motions of being in the religion and not really "thinking about what their doing". We just did it. After years of masking our true feelings and emotions, there is gonna be some recovery time. I think that is what brings many people to boards such as this. A handful of didcated ones at this site, put a lot of themselves into this, because they themselves know how it feels to go through this transition. Is it to personal to ask what brought you here, and what keeps you here?
It astounds me, some of the questions you ask. I'm not sure if its you, or the fact that some pretty obvious things that are in the bible, were glossed over all the years we did the "bible reading" at the Kingdom Hall. If it's not to personal, were you raised in a religion?
I haven't finished reading all of your story regarding that "handsome man". I wanted to ask you if when you were writing that (you wrote it yes?) does the man you refer to as being approached have a name?
Regarding genetic manipulation, and the "fallen"; and wanting to "strengthen" the gene pool. Does it remind you of Hitler at all?

1975 was one thing, 1914 is another story. Do they even have a choice but hold onto 1914? Despite what they have learned from their mistake in "alluding" to 1975, and able to cover their ass with "we never said it", how could there be any going back on 1914? They have thousands (guessing) of direct statements regarding that date. They have almost 5 years to whip up a frenzy, and a lot of people who show up at the memorial still. I think/know there are a LOT of people that are df'd that are still "shut off" to the facts, and have the "society is right, but i can't help but be a bad person" outlook. Maybe they could grow if they did it right. You think?

Ahmadinejad made a statement, and that statement was misinterpereted and twisted to suit their agenda.Whatever that agenda turns out to be, we are being led to think one thing, while he said something completely different. One thing that you pointed out, that makes sense in such a scary way, is the possible implications behind the origin of the name "Kingdom Hall". I haven't looked yet, but i can't wait to see if it was Russel who gave JW's the name of their "church", and more importantly, when? According to Wikipedia, it was in fact Rutherford who introduced the name. While it appears that Rutherford served under Russel during his presidency and perhaps they were both involved with the masons? My investigating you thread a little further led me to find out indeed that he was NOT a Freemason at all...but he was of the York Rite "movements" of Freemasonry. While it is the oldest "rites" of Freemasonry, it does consist of only 3 degree's. So while he is a mason, perhaps this is why the Freemasons can deny him as one? According to the above website, "The Rite in its purity doesn't even exist anywhere" I'm not saying anyone is wrong about anything, I'm just pointing out a few things hoping someone can fill in more of an overview.
Either way the Kingdom Hall thing is to much of a coincidence. "White Hall". I couldn't find one. I found out that it is a road in London, where there USED to be a "WhiteHall Palace" up until 1698 that was largely destryed by fire,and there used to be Monarchs that lived there. Either way, White Hall as a building or a street shouldn't matter as the street is where the current UK Government is situated. The song still remains the same.Using that sentence reminds me of Stairway to Heaven and one line in particular. "And it's whispered that soon, if we all call the tune,then the piper will lead us to reason"....and in turn reminds me of he piper in the fairy tale leading everyone...Perhaps now my imagination is getting carried away.
Cameo- I really love your posts an your analytical thinking. I like the perspective's you present. While your thinking on such matters is far more advanced than mine i think your quite right with your viewpoints. Thank you too. Your comment about "they have been laughing at simple men all these years" really hit home.They have been laughing at me. Just last night possibly while this thread was being commented on I was talking about how much "simple" appeals to me. I can't cut and paste for some reason, but my last comments on the thread " March 15th is Z day!The zeitgeist movement...coming soon" contain the words "simple" more than a few times. Perhaps what you speak of is very true, I would like to know what you think. Anyone else for that matter.
Password- While usually your posts are quite short and very to the point...often to the point where i can't understand where your coming from, primarily cause i'm a newbie and don't know ya, your references with regards the watchtower are very well observed and it scares the shit outta me. by TheICE ina web site called jehovah-witness.net where x-jw's and jw's who pretend to be jw's come to chat about how bad jehovah witnesses are and how they brain washed them etc, would it not be more productive to move on and forget than to let something most of you obviously hate take so much of your time and effort.. for some being a jw is about not being part of the world, what other religion is there that is as moral as a jw.
i am d'fed but i belive that jw's are the true religion.
sure some of them can be self righteous pricks but there imperfect just like anyone else,we all need to focus on us and not worry about what there doing because we can't change them.. .
