  for some, at least, myself being one.. i went through a really rough period at about 14 years old and had two poems come to me out of nowhere...i literally started writing and minutes later had a finished product.

  one i can post here but the other i fear may be too graphic for the forum (as it describes an actual experience).

  i'd be happy to send it to anyone who wants to read it, though, just shoot me a pm!.

  Thank you Chris! I didn't really understand the depth of what it meant when I actually wrote it, as previously mentioned the words flowed out onto the paper like they were pouring from somewhere in my subconcious. Now when I look at it I see the significance it had when coupled with the emotions I was experiencing at the time.

  I've had writers block for awile now but really want to start writing again...not only poetry but short stories and eventually a novel. I think my biggest problem is sorting my thoughts when I usually have kids running around. Then by the time they go to sleep I'm too tired to try writing...lol.

  What kind of short stories do you write? Have you ever tried posting on www.gather.com? It's a pretty cool site and lots of people post short stories on there...as your popularity grows you get points toward gift cards for certain businesses (Borders Books, Home Depot, etc.). Get enough points in one month and you can switch over to the cash option instead. I've gotten a 25 dollar Home Depot gift card from posting on there (have enough points for another 10 dollar card as well) but haven't been on much recently.

  Now keep in mind I was only 14 when I wrote this...but I still think it came out pretty good. I made it into a poetry.com book with it some years ago!

  "The Storm is Rolling On"

  The storm is rolling on

  in the bitter cold outside.

  Raindrops turn to ice

  from tears that she has cried.

  The lightning flashes, sudden,

  for a moment dark turns bright.

  Then thunder breaks the silence

  as her scream rips through the night.

  The wind blows cold and fierce

  across the barren land.

  Trees are bent and twisted

  with the trembling of her hands.

  The elements, relentless,

  show no sign of giving in.

  The storm is rolling on

  through the memories that have been.

  Craziest thing you've ever been "counseled" for????

  i know that this has been a popular post in the past.

  but after my last post, it got me thinking.

  i used to always use those stupid field service report slips as scratch paper.

  Like my part in getting ripped of by a dishonest RE. My part in getting my car stolen. My part in getting mugged in Vegas. My part in the real estate collapse.
  
  How can a 13 year old have a part in a molestation victimization? Bllllaaaaaaarf

  Oh, but I didn't scream or fight. Instead, I froze in fear. Also, I didn't tell anyone about it for a year. Unfortunately, due to my previous history of being abused (ages 1-4 1/2 in a foster home with a pedophile before moving back in with my father) my brain was used to blocking memories like that out and I literally didn't remember what happened until it hit me like a brick in the middle of class at school one day. That was fun.

  I'm actually surprised they didn't DF me right then and there...I guess the "brothers" were feeling generous and simply gave me some counsel. The offender was removed from elder status and reproved. He was encouraged to turn himself in to the authorities (which he did) but I was encouraged not to press charges, so I didn't. He got some therapy, as did I for a very short time, then my family was encouraged to change congregations and forget all about it.

  That was a real turning point in my life...the "beginning of the end", so to speak. But I think this is supposed to be a light-hearted thread, so I won't go there.

  I was counseled for my "part" in being sexually molested at 13 by a 34 year old man. Apparently since I was baptized at 9 I was partly responsible for not handling the situation correctly. Thanks f**kers! (Sorry...couldn't resist saying that last part.)

  Funny JW memories/stories

  since most of my memories of being a jw, are terrible(and i do mean most of them).

  i figured i share one funny one.

  one time back when they first started the new number 2 talk arrangement (switched to only doing bible readings, and not having to actually write a talk), i got a talk slip but lost it.a few weeks later i didn't realize i had a talk only until i got to the thursday night meeting, and the school overseer came up to ask me, "are you all set for your talk tonight"?

  on august 4th of 2008 at approximately 8:00-8:10am i was coming from the front office after receiving a green sheet for being absent on thursday, july 31st 2008. i was passing the women's restroom on my way back to class, when i saw steve walking the barren hallways.

  he didn't notice me since i was walking far behind him.

  I agree with the other posters...this needs to be reported to both the school and the authorities. There's no way it was an accident, you said no and that is that! I wonder how many other women he's done that too who have been too timid to stand up to him...and what else he got away with doing because of it.
