michael jackson's latest crazy stunt involves reportedly converting to islam on the eve of his court battle with an arab sheik.. the king of pop - who was brought up as a jehovah's witness - is said to have sought solace in the faith after speaking to an unnamed songwriter and producer.. a source tells the sun, they began talking to him about their beliefs, and how they thought they had become better people after they converted.. "michael soon began warming to the idea.".

other folks with guns!.....yes it's in your laws...but they were written when the british ruled you.
one school gun killing every week does not happen anywhere else in the world....maybe you need more guns to protect your kids.....one in the lunchbox.....does anyone else see this.

Guns are NOT destroying my country....lack of parenting, ethics and morals are more the problem than guns. Guns are a tool. Protection, hunting, sport.
Gun laws keep honest people honest. The criminals still get them.
There are no easy answers to school shootings. I attended a seminar on that a month ago. One of the big similarity in a lot of the school shootings is that the suspects were heavily involved in violent video games. I'm NOT saying that this is THE reason or that if you play a violent video game that you'll go shoot a bunch of people. But the violent games combined with inattentive parents, isolation, and other things such as mental illness all contributed to these awful shootings.
Millions of Americans including me are responsible gun owners. And if I'm ever in a situation like that I will NOT be a sheep and let the bad guy get me. I will fight for all I'm worth to defend myself and others.

yes you can throw a kitten off a 20 story building...no harm
by oompa insee...if you are raised that way...and even if you are also raised to love all kitties, but told they will not be harmed if you ever throw them off a tall building....you will have no choice but to believe this as fact....you will believe it completely.....and if ever you find youself atop a tall building with a kitty...you will have no problem...no doubt at all.... that if you toss that baby off the roof or out the window...no harm will come to it.. now if you were not raised that way...you may decide to doubt that no harm will come to a kitty thus tossed....that it may be awful for the kitty.....yet those that were raised that way will say horrilbe things to you about your doubts...and make you feel like a freak....and shun you......and even divorce you..........oompa...but i saved the kitty.

You've really made me think and I thank you for that. As I sit here at work trying not to get teared up I think of all things over the years that the JW's have caused in my life either directly or indirectly.
When I was 20 yrs old, my best friend was df'd. I was disassociated. The elders told us that we should not have any contact with each other if we wanted to be reinstated. Michelle and I talked and decided to follow this advice. It was the worse advice I was ever given. Last Sunday was the 20th anniversary of my dear Michelle's death. Because I listened to those nasty elders I lost out on the last few months of Michelle's life. She became ill suddenly and died within 3 weeks. There's definitely still anger there even 20 yrs later. So I'm not sure if that's taboo or what with HAVING to listen to the elders especially when you're 20 yrs old and either don't know any better or your powers of thinking and reasoning aren't fully developed yet.
As far as taboos...the dating thing. I've had friends of mine that have never been JW's tell me that I'm socially inept due to my upbringing. I've never learned to date. Now here at 40 yrs of age, I wonder what is wrong with me that "normal" non-JW men see and shy away from. Now THAT was hard to type too. And no I don't have horns, webbed feet and an eye in the middle of my forehead.
The pain from these taboos, phobias, etc go so deep(fear of Armageddon, etc).

Mrs.Chickennest has cancer
by Thechickennest inmy wife and i learned this week that she is suffering from a large malignant tumor in her sinuses.
the cancer has spread to her lymth nodes and the pet scan indicates a mass on her left lung as well.
the sinus cancer is called sinonasal undifferentiated carcinoma.

My thoughts are with you! Mayo Clinic is AWESOME!!!!!! They do very good work!!!! Please research all you can. That will help you both to make informed decisions. Medical technology is wonderful these days and the medical field is making progress all the time.

never done fluff...but what movies or songs make you cry?
by oompa inya....as you know i am pathetic...a cryer.....oompa.
there are even some andy griffith shows that make me cry..... i wrote a song that almost always makes me cry when i play it....but cant post it as it would totally out me...in case my other revealing threads have not...tired of the game.....oompa.
i know it is pathetic...but sleepless in seattle make me cry...and ya...i love the soundtrack................. .
