  Anybody watch Game of Thrones?

  i started watching game of thrones and it has become my fav tv show in a long time.

  i may even read the novels.

  i love fantasy novels and movies, i always tried not to like them and felt bad when a new book came out and always gave in and read it lol.

  continuation of combatting destructive mind control part i which describes what is destructive mind control and how some organizations control individuals through mind control.

  part ii presents steve hassans keys to combating mind control and part iii will be about how to use/adapt steve hassans theories to overcoming the challenges of helping born-in jws.. .

  before describing the keys to combating mind control, i would like to overcome an individuals natural tendency to believe that they could never be controlled, to increase their awareness to personality behaviors that they may have developed while under the influence of mind control, and how to protect themselves in the future.

  Did you ever shun someone close? How did you feel?

  how does a jw feel when he "has" to shun someone he likes/loves?.

  during the time i was in, i shunned people.

  but as i didn't like them, it was no problem.. but now, i'm trying to understand how my family might really feel.. (i presume here, of course, that they do "like/love me".).

  "I just wanted you to know how much I have truly missed you . For the last 4.5 years I have felt like a piece of my heart has been missing. I have wanted to call you so many times and I always had you on my mind. Now, I feel like that piece of my heart has been put back. I missed you so much. "

  The above statement is written by my aunt to me after we got back in touch. I saved this and read it once in a while to remind myself how destructive the WTBS really is.

  i had one (elder) who loved to pick on the sisters who had an unbeliveing mate......he had short mans syndrome and got a kick out of it.. co, han hubler...anyone that knew him will know what i mean.. he was so disliked it was hard to get anyone to have him for a meal when he visited..

  Maury Wickham-very judgmental and wanted his way to be the only way. When I was in my early 20's, I was reinstated. I seen him at the assembly a few days after my reinstatement was announced and he said to me, "Hello- I heard you were reinstated, let's hope it stays that way." I was shocked at the rudeness and my mom was furious!!

  Yes-My aunt who is a year and a half younger than me. We grew up like sisters. She joined the Mormon religion and called me to tell me her decision. I told her that i wasn't going to be able to have contact with her because of it.

  And for 5 long years, we didn't talk. It was heartbreaking. Once I realized the what the WTBS was all about, i called her and we've been close as ever since then. I feel so embarrassed by my decision to cut her off.

  just wondering which kind is worse to active jw's?

  my aunt used to be a jw but now she is a mormon.

  i used to be a jw but now i am agnostic.

  Yes, it is and very confusing to me. My aunt seems happy and although I think it was strange to jump from one cult to another, I love her and it's her business.
