1914 has come and gone and yet, the world is still going.
We are on the same side oldman, I was raised in the borg (our little nickname for the org) and got myself disfellowshiped at the age of 15. I couldn't take the BS anymore. Welcome and hope you stick around to help others see what the JW's really are.

GO BILL!!!!!!!!!!!!
.
everyone is somehow connected to a celebrity, with that wondeful six degrees of separation.. for me, my aunt's(by marriage), first cousin is ally sheedy.. how are you related?
Well, I don't know if I am related to someone famous, but I did meet Michael Irvin when I was 16, and did a lap dance for Larry Allan (another cowboy).
Can't think of anymore right now, but I think I have met more famous people. I know some who met Emmit Smith and Deon Sanders at a club Sanders had in Dallas.
I did go to a live press conference at Valley Ranch and was only a few feet away from Jerry Jones (that's his name right? LOL), and the head coach at the time, it wan't Jimmy Johnson, can't remember his name. I was too involved with all the news personalities I recognized there.
my brother and his family are just thankful to be alive!
sunday night with tornado warnings out through the state of tn.
about 7:30 that night, my brother went out on the porch to look at the lightning.
Tink I am so glad you and your hubby and your brother's family are all ok. When Lying Eyes posted the thread yesterday, I didn't even know about the bad weather cause I don't watch much TV. When I watched CNN last night my heart and stomach sank!!!!!!!!!!! Glad you checked in and sorry about the little boy next door. Would you tell the family we are thinking about them and am sorry for their loss.
Good to see people helping others in need and only asking for others to do the same. How heart warming that is.

if you've left or are considering leaving the "truth", what is the most difficult thing that you must deal with?
is it losing family or friends?
is it feeling isolated?
edited because I miss understood the ?

after reading many posts on this site, it seems we all share the same types of fears.while witnesses, some were petrified to give a talk in the theocratic ministry school.
others were sick to their stomach to go out in door to door work.
if the elders said that they wanted to talk to you after the meeting, fear would set in throughout the whole night.
I am afraid of something happening (bad) to those I love and care for. I am afraid of finding out my son was sexually abused, not afraid of killing whoever would do it. I am afraid of something like 9-11 happening again. I am afraid of dying before my son is a grown man with a family if he chooses to have one.
