  Are any "Active Witnesses" Marching Fri?

  i live in nyc and i am not an active witness right now, but was wondering if anyone who is active is going to the march this friday?

  does anyone know about how long the march will last?

  i go to work at 4pm.

  Not sure about active witnesses, but I know not all are Disfellowshiped or Disassociated either. I will be at the march, and it starts at 2pm. As far as how long it will last---I am not sure. I was at the press conference in Minnesota, and it was only to last 15min----which turned into an hour. It all depends on the press and the responce we get from the headquarters. Why don't you come and then leave when you have to---to go to work. That way you can at least be there and see what is going on with your own eyes. It will be a day to remember and a very empowering (sp?) day too.

  Very Bad News Re: Post Yesterday

  i'm not sure how to put this news gently to the community here, but regarding my post yesterday regarding chantelle.. thankyou for all of your kind messages and warmth displayed on your parts.. chantelle was only 16 when disfellowshipped.

  only 18 years old with her whole life in front of her.

  she took her own life this morning at 0400hrs.. i am so sorry not to have been in a better position to get your letters to her in time.. take care all of you & kindest regards.

  I am so angry and so sad at the same time. What a way to parent a child-- by driving them to take their own life.

  I hope now she has found peace, and send my love to the family that REALLY cared.

  I used to bartend, so I am hoping I can work myself into a relief bartender every once in a while.

  Thanx guys-------I am sooooooo excited, things are starting to look up--first I get to go to the march, see my family for a bit, and now the job!! I can't wait to see what is next!!!!! Oh, wait a minute--after Alex (my boyfriend) finishes this project at work, we are going to Vegas for the first time with some of his co-workers. Maybe I will have ladyluck with me (more like lady drunk--LMAO).

  GOT A JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wooooooooooooooooooo Hoooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  It is in a place I like working and it is only for Friday and Saturday nights right now. I am going to be waiting tables at a local pool hall. I like shooting pool and drinking beer (not that I can drink on the job--but I can get a discount) and have been around both since I was 7 (yes I was drinking beer at 7), so it feels like home when I work in a bar. I know that sounds bad, but my personality does well in this environment, and the fact that I have been working in bars for 6yrs, it is hard to have a "desk job". I have usually done well when it comes to making money through tips and right now I am really excited to start bringing in my own money--not to mention I can keep my clothes on which is a big plus for me and my boyfriend--LOL. I have tried to get other work and will continue to, but this was the first thing to come through and it is something I am familiar with, so untill something better comes along--I can work parttime.

  Girl I was mad too!!!!!!!!!!!! The whole "If you love me don't do tell my mom". IF YOU LOVE ME??????????????? What kind of S**T is that???????? Boy, I sure let her have it in that email I sent back. I don't think I will see or hear from her anytime soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  I erased the email after I sent you a copy. You can post it if you want, I would have but I didn't know you were gonna post this. Damn, I wish I had it so I could post it now.

  We sure Lamb-basted them today!!!

  hey all!

  me, elsewhere, jesika and her sister spent about four hours today at a busy intersection (the same intersection where jesika did the press conference, right in front of the k.h.!

  ) and passed out flyers to everyone at the light!

  When I was passing out the flyers, if the person had kids in the car I would tell them--being that they had children they would be most interested in the information I was giving out.

  Some of the other signs said---Pedophiles knocking on your door, Jehovah's Witnessess protect pedophiles, Protect the children, etc most all had the silentlambs logo on them. The public for the most part was very receptive. We had a blast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  just wondering if anyone has an idea of about how many people will be showing up for the silant lambs march?.

  any guesses on how much media attention this will do?

  are we talking about the morning shows, just local?
