Down by 8: 73 (2015) vs 65 (2016). Also no one from territory or with invites only non JW families attending inflated normal attendance.

interesting to see if there's a noticeable trend in memorial attendance.
also did they talk more then usual about ones not to partake?

ok, i've had some wine, but i'm curious.
objectively speaking, but for the religion, did you have enough in common with your spouse to have met and married as non believers?
Thanks OP.
Lucky me, i am on holiday during the convention. I will read the highlights on here.
Thanks in advance to whoever is going to post the highlights.
on the german board we recently had a discussion about the people that were involved in the production of the aid-book and that later left the organization.
in coc the following persons are mentioned in connection with the aid-book project: lyman swingle, john wischuk, raymond franz and reinhard lengtat.
franz and lengtat later left the jw.

did any one notice that the monthly broadcast on jw tv is being treated like a meeting similar to the old book study arrangement?.
at our kh, in uk, all congregations meeting at the hall have a monthly arrangement for this.
some have a group arrangement and alternate between family homes to watch the broadcast and some use the kh on weekends.. this arrangement in our congregation, at least, is being treated as a meeting for each of the groups.
@darkspilver: My understanding was the broadcast at a KH level is for anyone who can not watch it at his own comfort.
Although our KH advertise the dates for the broadcast, 3 congregations have their own arrangements at a group level. As per friends comments, the KH broadcast is watched by around 30 odd members, mostly elderly. The figure peaks when refreshments and food is served afterwards, as usual.
So i think some are using this as an additional tool for more control!

This arrangement in our congregation, at least, is being treated as a meeting for each of the groups. Going after each family and notifying them when the broadcast is and at which family house it will be watched. Also asking for refreshments, etc. Although no attendance is being taken, but the group overseer and his minion know who is coming and who is not and making sure that on the next broadcast they ask them - this happened to me. At home we don't watch any of this.
I not sure how official this is getting, but is anyone having similar arrangement and to some extend being asked to attend!
I think this is another method to identify the spiritually weak (tm).

i've been using windows 7 for several years and have had no complaints.. i've tried many browsers and settled on google chrome.
it has absolutely everything i want or need.. i kept hearing about the free upgrade to windows 10, so i went to youtube and watched endless "reviews" pro and con.. what pushed me over the (microsoft edge) was the fact i could test drive the new operating system.
for 30 days and go back to windows 7 if i didn't like it!
Although i was reluctant to upgrade, mainly to the issue, for some it was a fix, related OneDrive showing only synced folders and files.
In Windows 7, you can see all the folder structure even if some folders are online only. If you need to access them you download them. This is good if you use one drive as a backup in the cloud.
I upgraded to windows 10 when i found a work around to access all my folder structure. If you are interested, you can follow these steps:
just a few observations from this morning.
.. this morning as i was trying to choke back the bile that kept wanting to come up during the wt study one comment in particular screamed cult.. towards the very end as comments were being made about "counseling" others with "gracious" words one of the uber-dub minstral-serpents made this comment, "we see in the last image that the brother is holding a bible as he counsels the other brother.
we look closely at the picture and we can know exactly what he is counseling the brother about.
OFS, i am in the same situation as you. But i am not a MS or have any privileges. I have a goatee, nicely trimmed and keep it short.
I got the same comments about stumbling others, and then i said why i should always care about others when no one cares about my feelings! When the CO came it was interesting he did not comment or anything on the situation and i heard that he did not oppose them as long as the person is not doing it to show off or something similar.
The surprising bit, is that i was given assignments in the meetings! Elders no more talk about it with me. Also no one is sporting one as claimed by elders that i will drive all youngsters to grow one.
i've seen this twice now within a month.
a car group hanging out at a gas station.
one of the cult members jumps outs of their car and runs up to a "worldly" gas pumper, arm stretched out, tract in hand, and here comes the juvenile at best question.
If not mistaken this is a known technique to count hours when you are going to a far away territory. Usually used by foreign groups or congregation when they need to drive 1 hour or more to get to the territory. Based on a directive they can count only one leg in their report. So by handing a brochure this indicates time starts and they can count ministry for the drive and no time wasted!
It is all about counting time!
