The ONLY reason I married my ex is because he was a very spiritual man (elder, reg pioneer). When I left the "troof" there was absolutely nothing to hold the marriage together - we had NOTHING in common except the religion. It was only natural that the marriage would end when the believing stopped. He now has a very young and a very theocratic wife - so we are all happy!

I don't get these women!
by serenitynow! inthe jw women who are willing to dump their husband if he ceases to believe.
especially if they have children, i mean what are they thinking?
do they think that it would be better to be a single parent?

DC Brownie Points: Attend Twice. Ever do that?
by Open mind ina recent post i made on watchman duty reminded me of something that a few uber-righteous jws would do.
work in volunteer service at your own assigned district convention, but since you missed so much of the program, re-attend the whole thing again on another weekend and just "focus on the program".
i remember one super self-righteous guy talking me into going back to re-attend a saturday once.

Many times when I was single. It had nothing to do with listening to the program though.

Outrageous Omission Blood
by Marvin Shilmer inoutrageous omission blood.
today i uploaded an article i have worked on for some time.
it expounds and illustrates a revolting habit watchtower has of refraining from wide distribution of life-saving information clearly and promptly.

My 80 year old father had quadruple bypass surgery last Thursday. I wish I had read about cryosupernatant before the surgery (He did survive a bloodless surgery though)
I imagine the blood issue will become much like vaccinations. The taboo of it all will eventually fade away and the society will then deny it was ever an issue.

DC Sunday Drama
by Billy the Ex-Bethelite inlet's call it a very ugly version of "joseph and the amazing technicolor dreamcoat" recreated as a musicless "a young life serving god ain't worth living.".
it included a highly fictionalized account of joseph being abused by his brothers for serving god and being loved by jacob.
there was no mention of joseph's dreams that degraded his brothers and father.

And if a married person wants to volunteer for more than a month, the spouse should apply also.
I know a lot of wives that would love to get rid of their husbands for a month+
But, I suppose a wife cannot be trusted on her own for that long- she may get a taste of freedom and start sinning
