  Circuit Oversear for dinner..."sorry no time to talk" remember this! Like Jesus is coming!

  a sister rang and left a message to see how we are....but i called back the next day and she said...."oh sorry i have no time to talk, the circuit oversear is coming for dinner, can you call back?

  " this reminds me of c.o dinners it's a major suck up...like jesus and his apostles are coming for dinner.

  the pioneers like this sister always get the c.o to come over.. anyone had the pleasure?.

  Did anyone else have to deal with insane "dietary restricitons" on a regular basis.

  I can understand alergies, but it seemed like many of them had "made up" these restricitons.

  But then again, I am not cynical, am I?

  They used to stay at my house for the week of the visit. (back in the 70's).

  You are making a blind assumption. I would venture to say if your grandparents were in the work force 50 years ago they are not lazy and entitled to the benefits. However, the ridiculous amounts of money being "given" to people is crazy. I, like you grandparents was taught that if I want something, work for it. If I want something more expensive than the next guy, work harder.

  BTW-I am a Democrat. My statement is not political, it's objective.

  I was just asked to perform a civil union.....

  i did a few jw weddings - quite a few in fact, though the number escapes me nowadays.. this one will be a 'civil union' - not a legal wedding.

  one of the persons getting 'unioned' has a pending divorce, one that they believed would be finalized by now and isn't.

  so, they want to have the ceremony, say vows, and then later go to a judge and have a quick legal ceremony.. they want a somewhat 'christian' ceremony.

  is there or has there been anything that has aided you in your quest to rid yourself of the bitterness and resentment of the jw's .

  i know for some it has appeared that they have a newfound religion or religious belief, but that is not the case with myself.. for some maybe visiting these sites encourages them to shed those miserable memories?

  for me it just builds more resentment.

  My JW parents met my wife, but would not see me...

  so it was time for the 25 year reunion of tawas area high school's class of '84.

  because i was class president, i've been responsible for throwing all the reunions we've held.

  while i come to michigan on business a few times per year, i don't usually make it all the way up to the little, northeast, lake huron tourist town where they live.
