Is herd immunity even a useful concept in relation to this virus if that’s the case?

Yes in a sense that you can restrict infections temporarily until a vaccination is found or reduce the over all numbers to effect the number of deaths.

What the health officials are attempting to do is contain the majority of infections, which from my personal opinion is pretty hard, based upon how the virus transfers .

The best way to block this virus to transfer to yourself is to restrict being public as much as possible and wash carefully after you do..

Interesting that the particular virus (SARS) was brought to humans pretty much the same way this new corona virus has.

What SHOULD have woken you up ?

for myself, there is an embarrassingly long list of things that really should really have woken me up, fully.

it was a long process for me, as a mind controlled born in, things i simply did not agree with, or knew were downright wrong, that built and built, and, eventually i woke up, after 58 bloody years in !.

but just mainly for fun, what should have woken you up ?.

Probably it should have been the actuality of there being thousands of christian based faiths but only a couple including the WTS made proclamations that mankind is living in the last days and that since starting in 1914 is last living generation to live in the old system of things before Jesus's new world order was to appear.

.......and this organization has a publishing house operating at its core.

How was it possible that some members fall asleep or nod off during meetings?

a while back, we had a saturday wedding reception for a brother and sister from our kingdom hall.

the reception ended at midnight.

most of us got home at around 1:00 a.m. our sunday public talk meeting started at 9:30 a.m. .

All you have to do to wake up a JWS audience is speak loudly the following .....

" And on the great day of Armageddon Jehovah will throw fire balls down upon the earth's inhabitants killing those who didn't worship him and sanctify his name "

That usually gets people to perk up .

Not saying I didn't do that .

Seen that a hundred times .

You don't even have to go a late night party to see that ..

jehovah's witnesses weren't jehovah's witnesses until 1931.until that year the people who had been hard-headed followers of end times false prophecies by william miller and seventh day adventists, more or less settled into following charisma-ballyhoo preaching by folks like "pastor" c.t.

it is a thin veneer of pious bible interpretation as a means of prepping for the end of the world.yep.

When you think about it JWS are just in a endeavoring state of reiteration emulating the bible's documented expressions of human ignorance.

Like the apparent existence of human ignorance which existed 3 thousand years ago never happened at all.

Yet we have so much more knowledge of what happened in those ancient times, why the people then thought about the active world in which they lived and why they thought those things.

To them the gods in the heavens were responsible to what happened here on earth, which to their understanding directly effected them.

Religions like the JWS are actively embracing the fear, ignorance and superstition of those ancient people to the determent and folly to themselves and perhaps to the rest of humanity living today.

Some people are prone to over sensationalizing matters. JWS are one group of people who have been doing this out the fear mongering ignorance and teachings of the Watchtower Corporation.

seriously, i can't help wondering whether their hiatus from meetings and service will alter their post-covid-19 lifestyle once they experience the freedom of life in the absence of the hamster wheel?.

The WTS/JWorg will no doubt use this event to show mankind is living in the last days.

You can bet on it.

Of course they wont honestly come forward with the fact that mankind has gone through serious plagues before going right back to biblical times, but fear is something useful to these guys because they know they can psychologically control people by implying and imposing fear.

The WTS/JWorg knows fear and ignorance are exploitable commodities for them, for they can mentally entrap people in this manner to get these ones to serve their own means and purpose .
