I'm so sick of this chick. People make her out to be more than she was all the time. She did some charity work, BFD. There are alot of people who do charity work. She spent more time away from her kids just to gallavant around Europe with her lover. The only thing she has going for her is her fullfillment of the cheesy romance novels which have the common girl being married into royalty. Everyone likes to make her out to be a saint. Too bad her kids couldn't see her more but I guess banging your boyfriend is more important.

Morality Q. Would You Betray Diana For 10 M?
by Englishman injames hewitt has outraged public opinion by offering to sell princess diana's reputedly very sexy love letters that she once penned to him so ardently.
he wants a cool ten million pounds, that's about $16m.. oddly, in a sky news poll, the question "would you sell her love letters for 10 million pounds?
" has revealed that 48% of brits would do so if they had the opportunity.. the situation is further complicated by prince harry's extraordinary resemblence to hewitt, although hewitt denies that he is the lads real father.. my q is this: would you sell the letters for 10 million pounds if they were yours to sell?.

I don't know how old you are but I have one word for you: College. You want to cure your loneliness: College. You want to get out of your parents house and still be able to live decent: College. I don't know how your grades are but College is a perfect way out. You may have to do all of the paperwork behind their back but you obviously have an internet connection so your parents aren't hardcore nutcases. Also remember that it is never too late to start but it is better to start young.

Who or What is God? Who Cares?
by MrMoe inlately i find myself struggling with the simple fact that i do not believe there is a god, let alone any realm beyond the physical realm we are aware of.
as many of you who know me know i am fond of tarot and astrology, for sometime now i find myself doubting the real significance of it all.
is there more to life than this?

I struggle with the same thing Moe. As my education and critical thinking skills increase I find myself leaning toward secular paganism. I enjoy the experience of ritual but have a hard time wrapping my head around any kind of "higher power" as the evidence for such is severely lacking. I have to say that God is whatever you choose to make it. It can either be an invisible sky spirit or a 10" smurf fashioned from gold. Do as you will, harm noone. Pretty simple words to live by, good luck on your search.

Crap, were you tryin to write your own bible. Buddhism and other eastern religions have less of these problems as others because they only claim to be one of many paths up the mountain. When you take an absolutist stance the eventuality is always violence. You can be christian and say you accept others beliefs but the core teaching of your religion doesn't allow you that room. The world would be better off without religion but not so much without spirituality. Despite propoganda Hitler did consider himself a christian and it is right that Stalin was atheist so we have prime examples of each side of the coin. However, the evil of religion in this world is far more lopsided than atheism. In the interest of keeping this short I'll stop rambling.

Donkey beat me to it. I bet at the time it was written it made more sense to them. After all you can't just take the entire virgin birth story from Isis and Horus and still sound original so you have to add other lines of mythology as well. I believe it was Hercules who was the son of a God and mortal woman. I also seem to remember he ascended to Olympus and back to earth. There are sooo many other stories out before and at that time just like the Jesus myth that it is just blind faith to believe that Jesus sacrifice is somehow original.

'Religion' after the Witnesses?
by happysunshine in'religion' after the witnesses?
is it possible?
any comments?

For me:
Religion: No
Spirituality: Yes
Even though I label myself as Wiccan I do attend a Buddhist temple on wednesdays. I think the process of self spiritualization is far more important than dedicating yourself to someone elses set of rules.

Festival of Andros
Today is the Roman festival of Andros, the personification of manhood and virility.
Waning crescent moon.
This is from my Pagan Daybook so if your feeling more manly today (I know I did, doing the dishes and vacuuming the house) this could be why.

Donkey's never-ending atheism thread
by donkey inwih the permission of simon, i would like to start a thread to act as a collection of thought, quotes and miscellany on atheism and agnosticism.
there are so many other threads on this subject but no one place which one can go to on here.
i have much to share - enjoy and contribute with me please.give me the storm and stress of thought and action rather than the dead calm of ignorance and faith.

While I'm not an atheist I do love the way they cut through religous b.s. However, I often run into the atheist snob who is just sure they know all the workings of the universe. Although there seems to be less atheist snobs than religous snobs.

Don't Get Me Wrong Farkel
by Derrick ini am not by any stretch of the imagination a 'watchtower apologist.
' your recent assessment of me in this regard not only missed the bullseye but strayed so far off course it almost hit innocent onlookers.
then why am i giving the watchtower society unbiased treatment by (gulp) pointing out their positive aspects not just accentuating the negative?.

Regardless of how "objective" you want to be all of the positive aspects of the WTS are far overshadowed by other religions much less other cults. Hell, there is a cult up here that worships Faeries and they take it dead ass serious. But their not harming anyone and they seem to be happy so let them have at it. The only positive thing I got from the WTS is the ability to memorize scriptures and have the ability to see the bible for what it really represents. Also, when the negative aspects outweigh the positive then the positive aspects become irrelevent (much like the WTS).

plmkrzy- It is very doubtful that this is anything more than bullshit. We have only recently mapped the human genome. It is more likely that this person noticed some genetic similarities/differences among Jews. All of us are slightly genetically different thus this story is nothing more than a hate mongers pipe dream.
Jews had slightly different genes than normal humans.
This is most definately not true. As for the Science vs. Bible debate, it is obvious to me you choose the Bible but I won't rip you. Archeology and Biology have already proven the bible false it is just a matter of accepting the facts in front of you. All it takes is a small amount of research but if your faith blinds you to the things presented then it is a worthless effort. However, that should not keep anyone from dropping their own spirituality.
