  What Is Happening To KH Trustees In UK? Tranfering 'Deeds' To IBSA

  had a phone call with an elder friend this week.. and he mentions that they passed a resolution at their meeting this week which involves changing the legal 'ownership' of the 'deeds' of the kh and transfering it to wts/ibsa in the uk.. this 'new arrangement' comes direct from wt hq apparently.

  he goes on to say how it passed the approval of the congregation and then laughingly said how1 brother was not in favour of the resolution.. he said: "you always get one don't you?

  this was all news to me, as far as i know we have not had this happen here.. what do you guys think?.

  "Theocratic Warfare" and the Annual Report

  one of the things i certainly noticed as a jw, and even during the time i was in bethel, was the complexities of reporting "truth.".

  beginning with an observation on a personal level, i consider myself an honest person.

  but something happened along the way, beginning when i pioneered.

  Factfinder: I too was like you... 15 mins was 15 mins... I never stretched it to 45 mins! I was shocked to find liars in the Org (a few were natuaral liars and they never had any clout or power) but the biggest shock came when I tried to Fade.... the Secretary always put some time in for me even though I hadn't done any. I just work out why I was not included as "Inactive" when I knoew Ihadn't been out for 7 months.

  The Secretary is still an elder to this day. His language was foul. In fact, when I first met him he warned that he tended to swear and also said "everybody that has become his friend ended out of the Troof"

  That 50% of the reported time is more a accurate account of what's going on? Try 25%... how often do you see JWs alone in their ministry? They're always hunting in pairs!

  I don't thinnk the lying that went on in the JW world of exJWs is a big thing... most (now) exJWs wanted and had a right to expect a quiet life. They didn't want the constant hounding but wanted to stay there for their families etc,. Lying with (falsifying is less contentious) figures was part of either their survival plan or feeding their ego to get ahead. With some elders all you could do to "progress" was to 'enhance' your service. Those JWs just constantly bring it on themselves.

  this is the number of baptized individuals who partake in the preaching work worldwide.

  does this total represent the number of all preachers on earth?

  That just doesn't make too much sense... surely it's better to say "these are the figures and there are yet more which can't get reported because of restrictions" etc,.

  To dispense with the report that has been almost there for ever looks suspicious - likes there's something to hide.

  "we thus have no way of knowing the exact number of anointed ones on earth; nor do we need to know.

  the governing body does not keep a list of all partakers, for it does not maintain a global network of anointed ones.

  Maybe the numbers are not important to them any longer... but I bet they make a count of partakers at the next memorial!

  How amazing ... even the Encylopdaedia Britannica uses the term 'probably'

  Evidently they've never heard of straining out gnats whilst swallowing camels.

  And I really detest the use of this phrase ~" A mature Christian would..." as if: you don't follow our words you show yourself to be immature!

  I have to admit ... I, for one, was entirely sceptical of Steven Unthanks attempts to bring this to court ~ mention of 144,000, FDS etc, must surely have caused the authorities to wonder what on earth this guy was all about. But, credit where credit is due, he has done a fantastic job of bringing this to the fore.

  Well Done Steven Unthank!

  This brings me to the UK... we have very strict regulations governing the 'minding of children' - you cannot do anything where children are involved (sports coaches for example) without having to undergo a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check. I'm really puzzled how the JWs in the UK have managed to get around this. Maybe it's time to do a similar thing here... although there is not the strength of Law here in this regard as there is in Victoria, it surely merits some investigation.

  There were some serious allegations made in congregations about child molestation in 2002/3 - that generated police inquiries so there is precedent.

  So - we see the very mettle of these people. Aside from the whole procedure being questionable, I have two observations.

  1 - "Was there sufficient evidince of wrongdoing?"

  Hello? This is a notice of disfellowshipping. If there was insufficient evidence of wrongdoing then there is no need for this form!

  2 - Is death the same as reinstatement? I mean does death reset your situation? If so, there can be no rejection of a JW funeral (not that you would necessarily want one). Just saying.

  I love forms! They allow you to pear into the very mindset of the individual who composed them.

  Does the British branch still print these? I notice the date is August 2000

  whenever a new branch or k/hall is built, its always proof that supposedly j is blessing his people and speeding up the work.

  does that mean when they have to close a bethel branch it means he is pissed off with "his people"????.
