by logansrun inthere are generally two types of arguments against theism whether we are talking about the judeo-christian-islamic god, the god of deism, the hindu pantheon....whatever.
the "rational" arguments include all scientific, logical and historical problems with a supreme and all-loving being and include such fields as evolutionary biology, deconstruction of "holy" texts, archaeology, formal logic, etc.
science in particular has been eliminating the "explanatory" aspect of theism for hundreds of years now -- from copernicus to newton to darwin to einstein -- all, knowingly or unknowingly, willingly or unwillingly, have had a share in shattering faith.

What sets humans apart from other animals on this planet is that we create. Just like God who created, we create because we were made in god's image. We are tool makers we can image in our minds what will be, and then use resources to create reality from these ideas.
A man conceives an idea in his minds eye, uses resources available to create this new invention that never existed before and makes it a reality. This idea, creation is now part of our physical world where it never existed before.
If this item breaks down and fails because of imperfect physical resources or because of abuse, does this mean that it was never created by someone? Does this mean that the person who created it never existed? Should others blame the man who created it for the fact that his creation was not perfect and didn't last forever or was abused and broke? Should athers claim that this person must be dead because the physical manifistation of his ideas did not last forever?
Just because God created, I think at times we as humans ask too much of him in that what OUR expectations are from him. What he created is not perfect. Often we want to look for someone else to pin the blame on.
As Robyn stated quite well, it is up to us to make the changes to improve our world.

You can write them and ask to have the records destroyed. Ask them for a letter confiming that they did in fact destroy all records on you. If they refuse to give you confirmation refer them to the FLOCK book and ask again until they do it.

I think your question is a good one considering that it has been over 3 years since the GB members resigned from the buisiness part of the WTS so they would have more time to focus on "spritual matters".
Thinking JWs could rightly ask, what new changes have came forth from god's spirit directed mouthpiece since they have all this extra time to focus on spirtual things for several years now?
Not much that I have seen.

Do you grind your teeth?

well i went to the dentist to day and he seems to think it is stress <boy why would i be under stress
does anyone use one did it make the pain go away??

My ex-wife had TMJ from grinding her teath at night. She had so much pain we considered surgery. After finding out what that was all about and with no guarantee, she tried the mouthpiece. The pain stopped and after some time she stopped using it with no other problems that I know of. Give it a try, its low cost and can't hurt.

It sounds like you could have some sypmtoms of ADD. I have ADD, have all my life, but only started taking meds for in in the past 5 years. It is real. The common sypmtoms of adult ADD are;
Trouble staying focused and getting distracted or side tracked easy.
Organization
Procrastination
Impatient when having to wait
Forgetfulness
I don't think depression is a symptom but that in itself does not mean you may not have ADD so you may need ond med for depression and another for ADD. I take Ritalin, with the only side effect being a little dry mouth. I have also heard that Adderall (sp?) is good. One person told me they could tell a diffrence within 30 minutes of taking the meds. Straterra is a newer drug that is advertised for adult ADD. I have heard good things about it and thinking about asking my doctor to try it next time I go.

for my job the average increase nationwide is 2%.

This seems to be the trend in general. Considering the replies I guess 2% is not that bad.

I feel like I have been lucky also considering the layoffs in the IT industry. I guess it could always be better but considering what most people are getting or lossing 2% is not bad.
