Who's Got The Blues [C.D.'s and D.V.D.'s]?
by Rapunzel into state the obvious, rock and roll has its roots in the blues.
if you listen to many "classic" rock bands - like led zep, the who and the stones - the influence of the blues is self-evident.
the members of both those bands grew up listening to the blues.

Why Is Relgion So Focused on Eschatology - to the Point of Obsession?
by Rapunzel inone of the major concepts that seems to be found in virtually all of the world's major religions is that of eschatology - the study of the end things, specifically the end of the world.
this is one idea that unites the disparate religions of the world.
furthermore, eschatological concerns constitute a link or a bridge between the religions currently practised in the world, and other ancient, forgotten religions.

Does the "24 Elders Class" constitute a New Class?
by Rapunzel ini was wondering if someone could kindly answer my question: is there a new, "24 elders" class of people?
i was baptized a long time ago - in 1976. i also faded a long time ago; i left in '78 or so.
in any case, at that time, the witnesses generally spoke of two groups or classes of people - the so-called "annointed" consisting of the 144,000 with the heavenly hope, and the so called "large crowd" whose hope was to inherit an earthly paradise.

Are there any of Jerry's kids here?
by Rapunzel indoes anyone have a song that they especially like?
as everyone knows, the dead were not a studio band, so i am particularly interested in people's favorite concert renditions of a particular song either in their memories or on bootleg tapes [for example, "ripple" or "st.steven" or "dark star" or "sugar magnolia", recorded in head trip colluseum, san francisco in '74] .
i'm also interested in people's concert experiences.

The Borg's Current Take On The King of the North
by Rapunzel inreading aleman's intelligent and erudite posts in regard to prophecies and other things biblical got me to thinking and prompted me to ask the following question - just what is the watchtower bible and tract society's current [as of this month, february 2008] interpretation on the identity of the wicked witch king of the north?
when i was in - many moons ago in the late 1970's - the king of the north was depicted, if my memory serves me correctly, as the soviet union.
but as the expression goes, s*** happens.
