i am not sure if anyone has asked this before but i am curious.
does anyone know approximately how many of us have left the watchtower society in the past 20 years.
it seems to me that it is compounding monthly lately.

somehow I doubt there are more ex jws than current jws............but I wish that was the status.
I was actually thinking that the numbers were only in the thousands maybe 10,000 of exjws compared to the million plus that are still IN.
it seems as though an age has passed from discovering this site seven years ago to where i am now.
just before we started studying the daniel's prophecy book, i went online to see if anyone had made a study bookmark with the dates and paragraphs on.
i "stumbled" across this site, way back in 2000. of course, like a good christian i pretty much determined that this site had gone apostate from the other jw sites, such.
I have to blame Mouthy or grandma Grace for this. She told me about it and I am so happy she did. I love it here.

OOPs I guess I missed a thread about this....I am not very adept at searching for past threads that I missed.
Can you point me to it someone????
Sorry I repeated a subject. I try to keep in touch everyday but don't always read everything unfortunately.

It seems to me that it is compounding monthly lately. I know a lot of us have not been DF so there is no record.

i have a reading scheduled on may 15th in atlanta, ga. it is a new restaurant called the lamplighter cafe.
as an exjw, my book is about the experiences me and my friend faced gowing up in the religion and trying to be normal adults.
my book is called 'the colon chronicles'.

Thanks for explaining and I look forward to reading your book. I will let you know as soon as I receive it. Thank you for offering it and I hope to give you a review once its read.
As far as disguising our names etc....well I don't care myself if anyone knows who I am and what my name is and where I live. I have no family or friends left in the JWORG. I do think that there are a lot of people on here though that do need to disguise themselves, they are still IN and have to be careful no knows that they are investigating. Remember if you even question the GB that will be grounds for disfellowhipping.

alphaomega has helped get this file ready.
it's a much smaller scanned version of millions now living will never die.
it's only 6.19 mb.
Thanks for the pdf's. Its great to have these publications on file and it was so easy and quick to download.
My Mother had every publication there was for the Watchtower, when she died in 2006 I threw them all out into the recycling. Now I wish I had kept them. They were getting pretty mildewy though so a pdf on the computer is very helpful

Hi Doc
A reading in Atlanta, I thought you lived In California?? I know a few people who are ExJWs living in Georgia, I will copy this post and send it to them.
Those JW elders in your story weren't using the usual JW jargon. Church, they never call meetings church. Were you doing that because it would make it easier for Non JW's to understand the dialog??
I hope you enjoy your day, its Sunday, time to relax

my sister and her husband live in another city/state from me, so i don't get to see them that often.
he's a ministerial servant, they have two young children.
i heard a story that happened to them recently.... he was taken aside by an elder, who wanted to inspect his bag to see how many toys they were bringing to the meeting for their daughter to play with.. apparently, someone complained!.
I had 4 little ones 6 and under and a unbelieving husband. No one in the congregation would help me at the meetings with the kids. So I brought toys and colouring books.
I was told that I shouldn't do that. My Mother also a JW was very much of the mind set that Toys were OUT of the question at meetings. I know I was considered spiritually weak for the sin of having 4 children with an unbeliever never mind using toys to keep them quiet. The guilt got to me, and I couldn't cope after a while and I just quit going because of this mind set.
Lucky for me I have been out for 25 years and now I know that they were wrong not me.
