when a girl reaches the age of puberty or physical maturity, her.

body has developed in the matter of sex more than in the mind.. young folks like to be together, first in groups, later in twos.. if they have not been instructed by their parents in regard to the.

permitted, because the female is not in physical condition to breed.. the bull seems to understand this and keeps in his own place.

Kingdom Melodies Cassette #990

alright, this is one of those what was your favourite questions:.

when you were a witness (or even if youre still reluctantly attached like me), did you have a favourite kingdom melody (why couldnt they just be called hymns by the way)?.

i remember thinking they were ok as a young child, but that was until i got to secondary school and heard the other kids singing proper hymns in assembly, while i had to stand outside.

I played piano at various congregations I went to from about age 13 until about 1989 or 1990, can't remember. The circuit overseer had inquired to someone at Bethel about a ruling as to piano players. Then his first time around the circuit he got rid of the "weak" players, and the second time around he yanked the rest of us.

I cannot tell you how many people came and told me that they preferred a live performance to the tape!

Oh well, rules are rules. Sigh.

BTW, I think the song you are mentally stuck on is "Loyal Love". (.... all his works give proof thereof, etc., etc. Is that enough or do you want more?)

I agree with your post. It is wonderful to have companionship from people who really understand, and can support you through transitional times.

But really, we are all evil and deserve to die a very slow death. LOL. I am amazed that the WTS can slur those who leave the organization, implying that any and all become Satan's right hand people. Please.

I still have trouble thinking of me-self as "apostate", but if a label must be applied to a group, I will submit to that. I would like to think of us as "caring people who are now free".

I look forward to hearing more from you!!!

I never knew whether to laugh or cringe at that line "They are gifts from God...He says use the rod". How many kids got taken into the restroom and whupped right after that song?

If I had to pick just one, maybe "Keep Your Eyes on the Prize". It's a clever rhyming title, with a nice picture of ideal conditions on earth. Later it seems McDonald's had an advertising campaign "Keep Your Eyes on Your Fries". Did a JW work for their ad agency, or what? LOL.

he is welcome to try to keep up, but my personal bet is that about 2/3 of the way through he will scream in terror and jump out the window.. this letter was actually sent toward the end of june, 1996. yes, it took about 6 months to write it, as i was working 70 to 80 hours a week as a long haul truck driver.

it was written primarily to my daughters (and our former) congregation in alaska, with copies going to the parties named at the end of the letter.. all the names have been changed or blanked out except for p. g. ronco, the branch overseer, whom i know personally.

I'll let others comment on the literary merits of your work, for I am disqualified, being at 1st-grade level. (Now I'll get back to my systems analysis and computer programming work. Gotta pay the bills you know.)

Looks like the Pens have the Capitals' "number" when it comes playoff time. The series is almost "in the bag". Wow! I was worried a bit after the first game.

So we've got your Pens, Kismet's Maple Leafs, Cygnus' Sabres all leading in their playoff series so far. But of course only one team can come out of the East!

This is fun.

just curious many say that the org monitors dbs, but anybody have concrete proof of this??

oh by the way at the recent ca dbs were mentioned from the platform!!!

the thought was "some jws were visting jehovahs witness discusssion boards and trying to correspond with some"...might not be exactly what was said(not an actual quote)...they mentioned put a doubt in your mind and start questioning your beliefs!!!

i am a new to posting on this board though i have been actively reading your posts the past while and i thank some of you for the interesting viewpoints that you have verbalized and that i have enjoyed thinking on.

i am still an active jw, in fact an elder of 20 years standing hence my need to limit information about my personal circumstances.

i have served in a number of countries in europe as a pioneer and elder over the past three decades.

Regarding Babylon the Great / Revelation 18:4.

You did exactly what I was afraid you would do, you diverted the argument away from the main point. I don't want to get into who Babylon the Great represents, past, future, or whether it includes JW's, etc. That's a whole different argument / thread.

The point is, God told his people to get out from some group, some structure that was obviously going to be the target of his wrath. The principle was that HIS PEOPLE could get caught up in the downfall of said structure.

So that indicates that the idea of sharing responsibility for a group's wrongdoing is NOT beyond what the Bible teaches.

So my question still stands to you, about how you feel about being part of a group that you KNOW has hurt so many people? Please explain more about what makes you stay in. And do you have any fear about what will happen to you and those who are "good" inside the organization when it comes a-tumblin' down.

I need some honest answers! I don't think I'm being in the "mean" category by demanding that. I am seriously interested. If you are for real, you will answer that, any 14-day business trip notwithstanding.

Please re-read my comments to IslandWoman on the top of page 4 of this thread, in re: my concerns about the JW community & its members. Let me assure you, my concerns for certain ones I know in there are emotional & real. But I don't get to talk to those "certain ones". I do get to talk to you, as sort of a representative of those ones I care for.

As far as whether "community responsibility" is a Biblical teaching, we could go back and forth. OK, I'll try one more: Revelation 18:4, "Get out of her my people, if you do not want to share with her in her sins."
