an elder cofessing "feelings " for me i was not even a study anymore and had been told elders advice comes from jehovah it made me realise that the advice he had given me and the man i was in love with had nothing to do with jehovah and "the truth set me free "

getting time in is quite dishonest !
by looloo ini have a friend (ex workmate) and a jw ex workmate calls on her and has done for 6 years , i recently asked her what they talk about , she said she gives me some mags that go straight in the bin when she leaves but we have a good gossip about my love life and my kids what she has been up to (not a lot as she ia 40 year old virgin) and she never mentions jesus armageddon bla bla .
if she stays 2 hours do you reckon the fact that she leaves the mags means she would count her time , did anyone else do that ?
it prooves its nothing to do with serving god !

i even had jws that i worked with after i stopped my study , ask if they could count time when discussing "the truth" with me in tea break times ! and they joked about it in front of me !

Long time reader.....first time poster
by JWinprotest inhello everyone, my wife and i are currently associated with jw's.
my mom converted when i was 3 years old in 1975, my wife was born after her parents converted.
about 4 years ago however, my wife and i have seen many things that have discouraged us enough to start doing some research into the validity of this religion.

welcome why not be crafty and make out you had been looking up cults because your annoyed that some call jws a cult (what is a cult ) and show mother in law the few defining factors and see if the penny drops , if you just steam in there with ex jw stuff the shutters will come down and she wont listen . i really feel for your poor child she will be so confused but you have to act soon or you could loose her one day to that religion, the sense of relief i felt when i walked into school and said my kids can now go in assemblys and we are no longer involved with jws so they can do xmas stuff again my kids were happy too , it was a married elder falling for me that got me out no longer scared of armageddon ! sow a few seeds with mum in law , good luck x

a guy on the radio this morning who claimed to have been a "friend " of jackson from the age of 13 after he was invited into his hotel room to interview him said he once sent him a mormon bible !!!!!! either he got the cults mixed up or he never knew him as well as us eh !!!

why are some ex jws not at all interested in this site despite not believing anymore
by looloo inmy disfellowshipped hub is not interested and neither is my friend its like they want to just shut it all out and any mention just brings back bad memories of being disfellowshipped .
i could understand if they still were scared of apostates and all that rubbish but they dont believe in anything !
which prooves my point about a lot of folk in the "truth" that they are there by chace or because they were born in and dont know anything different or scared of dying at armaggedon , its not really about a deep love for god and a wish to do his will and enjoy spreading "the good news" which is "you are all going to die soon" how could someone who was a pioneer and appeared "spiritual"and was considered elder material go from that to not believing in god at all ?

his parents are still covinced he "knows its the truth" but the actual truth is he just does not and said he was actually just a robot "going through the motions "when an active dub so i presume god would realise that , so how many dubbys are actually genuine or just like my hub ? does any of this ring true to any of you or did you feel you were doing gods will and loved being in "the truth" by their fruits you shall know them ! confusing his parents even misunderstood his coolnest towards them when having to see them as him being humble and knowing his place as a disfellowshipped person !!!!!! and not wanting to make them uncomfortable it was actually because he cant be bothered with them and the cult mentality they have and soon put them straight when he was made aware of how pleased they were with him for being humble !!!!!!! he does not appear to give a damn about them but he must do , hes a closed book and i think he could do with counselling .

Witnesses who were Shunned by Worldly family for BEING Witnesses! ME!
by Witness 007 inyes when you become a witness, your family tree looks like it was hit by hurricane katrina!
{just like when you leave...ironic} my father said if i become a witness he will never see me again...and he didn't....but like most idiot witnesses this is held up like a badge of honour!...i was on the platform at ass-emblies like many others who lost....parents, boyfirends, husbands, children, whole families.
we thought we were blessed by jah to have lots of "brothers and sisters...but our real family knew we were part of an "apocalipse cult.

it really annoys me now that when i first got involved they said that family members will turn against you and my brother or sister or parents have not spoke to me for years since i became a jw bla bla bla now im out i know why their brother or sister or parents stopped talking to them (they were prob so pissed of with them for not bothering with them anymore ! not the other way round . it is our jw family that do not bother with us despite numerous invites , and even when i took my child round to grandparents house after 6 months of not seeing her my childs "christian" auntie and uncle went on the ministery 10 mins before we arrived ! how rude is that , im in such a bad mood today !
