I really don't think so.
As for meeting my maker: I'm utterly prepared at any time, having lived an honest life, not hiding behind the apron strings of what other men say.
i've found several similar youtube videos, here is one of them:.

quite interesting how well the words of revelation 8:8,9 fits what's happening.

another thread has set me off ...the one about anniversaries ...and i read an extract that blondie posted on there....suddenly i am soooo bl**dy furious...so indignant!!!!.
why did we allow a bunch of men to dictate to us not only what we believed, but even how we parented our kids, and then even how we spent our free time?????
how could we allow this stuff?????.
Let it purge out.
Eventually, anger is just telling you what needs to change. It can be your friend, rather than your tormentor.
Cheers!
i don't pretend to understand what motivates my husband when it comes to his family.
he's completely fine ignoring, even hating mine, but his he's wishy washy.
(they have completely shunned me, but still try to be kind to him and our children, blaming me for tearing their poor family member away from jah).
What StAnn said...and definite spewing here...

How Forgiving is Jehovah?
Precisely as forgiving as you imagine him to be. He is, after all, made in your image.
for vegas this weekend.. anyone have recommendations for me while i'm there?
?.
Are you a trendy hipster or a down-to-earth guy? Different bars for different pickups...
Virtually any "nightclub" in the resorts - Luxor (LAX, for one), MGM (Tabu for one), Palms (Rain, for example) are hot, upscale, younger crowd (e.g., not old like me) - are places to meet the crowd that comes to Vegas to party.
For more laid back, walk down Fremont Street (check out http://www.bestofvegas.com/bestof/Best-Bachelor-Party-Spots/BarCrawlonFremontStreet/) - you'll find everything from camp piano bar to tony lounge.
Don't forget the pool parties at the southern resorts, though the tend to be snooty. These are nightclubs outdoors - there's been quite a crackdown on the lewd behavior, so there may be less flashes of skin than expected.
I think all the "European" topless bars have called it quits. But there are still pools integrated into nightclubs like Tao at the Venetian.
Covers vary depending on club, day, time of day.
Funny, I also was going to suggest Hash House a Go Go, "twisted" takes on standard fare, lots of food, cool place with usually tattooed servers (usually quite attractive, in both genders), highly recommended. I've only been to the one off the strip.
Have fun!
this is something i think about from time to tiime.
i have a male friend, staunch jw that i think could be gay.
family very hard-core jw.
It depends on well he is aware of himself. If he's still deeply closeted even to his own appraisal, and if he is deeply self-loathing, any mention of his being gay can put him into a panic and think you are totally out to get him for some reason.
If his state is not obvious, you might mention you have a friend, and how they are gay, and how you think it's ok and still like them. His response will define where to go next. But your foray needs to be low key and circumspect, no drama, nothing highlighting it as a Big Deal.
Perhaps in a decade or so you'll both be able to look back on it and laugh about how careful everyone had to be.
Don't be surprised if at some point he says he's gay, then jumps to "I am so NOT gay", back and forth, as part of his process. It would be helpful if he knew there were other gay Christians, other gay ex-JWs - that he can choose to accept his orientation without tossing belief in God (that might be important), or that there is life after JW.
Maybe do a little research about gay-friendly churches in the area, or some Websites that talk about "What does the Bible really say about hmosexuality?" - which is the title of a great little paperback, available from Amazon.
I think a key is to find resources for him (should he come out to you) that being gay does not make him the opposite of what he used to be - there's a big world out there full of all kinds of gay people, and being gay is just a tiny part of his humanity. It just sometimes seems huge.
Hope this helps! - VE (of the gay-but-it's-no-big-deal ex-jw class)
2010:07:01 offically "inactive" - whats next?
- flurry of calls?, co/coboe "we want to encourage you..."?
given the vitrolic nature of my exit i doubt they want to come around.
Congratulations! Here's to life, as opposed to mechanical goose-steps...
what software do you use to create your compositions?
specifically, i'd really like something that can recreate 80's synthpop sounds.. bts.
Well, you gotta start somewhere - and all it takes is starting. I started writing in 1974, performing and recording in 1985, and recording was sound-on-sound reel-to-reel, for goodness sakes.
I believe CakeWalk and Cube are still generally well thought of and at least used to come in "beginner" and "pro" versions. But GarageBand is a huge democratizer, you can just start playing and grow as your expertise grows.
Go for it, Burns - you'll like it! I want to hear!
First track from new work in progress: http://www.voideater.com/Cocky/Cocky.html. All recording donw in GarageBand, keyboard midi captured from Casio workstation, guitar and vocal through M-Audio Fast Track Pro, synth sounds and processing and guitar effects in GaragBand. Produced by The Void.

OK, but this is Mac world in my case.
Garageband. It's moderately flexible, but a snap to figure out. The basic synth sounds and loops are a great start.
Amazingly, GarageBand comes in a suite called iLife - a batch of lovely fun toys for about $100. Add-on synth sounds, drum loops, other ear candy come in at about $100 per.
Apple's Logic Studio is like GarageBand on steroid, if you can't do it in Logic, you might not be to imagine it anyway. Pricier. Frankly, aside from back-masking there isn't anything I need currently that isn't in GarageBand.
On the PC there's Adobe Audition for multitrack recording - I used it's predecessor (before Adobe bought it) from Syntrillium, and the first Adobe version after that, but it's a somewhat steeper learning curve. Comparable to Logic in many ways. I'm sure it's grown since I was using it.
I occasionally pull bits into a Windows install of Syntrillium's CoolEdit, shareware, not sure if it's still available - quick, easy tool.
So...if you have access to a Mac (and indeed a nice MacBook might be well worth the price for your "studio in a box), GarageBand (in iLife) will start you and let you grow a lot. A couple of the add-ons - I like the Orchestra pack and the drum/percussion expansion in particular - and for a modest investment you're in business.
Most midi keyboards today have USB-out for instant connection; for another $100 pick up an M-Audio patch boc to put microphone, electric guitar or other live sounds sources into the computer. I like Shure microphones, good price/performance points on many models.
The quality of these relatively inexpensive tools is very impressive. And it's both fun and satisfying.
www.voideater.com - there's acoustic guitar/voice, piano and piano/vocal, post-punk and 80's synth-pop albums.
Cheers!
recent happenings close to home bewilder me by day, terrify me by night.
i am immersed in the profound waters of doubt and, sometimes, despair, as i struggle swimmingly to a far off shore that itself is encased in black mist.. yet, the shroud of fog does rise.
i am able to see outward, through the windows to my soul.
For CoCo:
Ordinary
I was never a flower child
No one ever said, “He’s so wild”
Saw some words in the sand, felt some warm loving hands
Heard the voice speaking meek and mild
Everyone is special, everyone is ordinary
It said to me
Everyone is special, everyone so ordinary
I was never a movie star
No one ever said, “He’ll go far”
Saw some lights in the sky, felt some time passing by
Heard the voice trapped inside the jar
Everyone is special, everyone is ordinary
It said to me
Everyone is special, everyone so ordinary
I’ve been above board, I’ve been undercover
I’ve been a friend and I’ve been a lover
Everyone so special, everything so ordinary
Have you ever touched happiness
Have you ever lived into bliss
Was it strange or bizarre, did it seem near or far
Was it something that felt like this
Everyone is special, everyone is ordinary
It seems to me
Everyone is special, everyone so ordinary
I’ve been above board, I’ve been undercover
I’ve been a friend and I’ve been a lover
Everything so special and everything so ordinary
