  That is in line with the fact that in footnote referring to old literature they now say "published by Jehovah's Witnesses" instead of "published by the Watchtower Society". That happend when they founded the "Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses".

  The reality about movies, and release dates.

  i managed a large movie theatre in the late 80's, into the early 90's.

  one of my favorite jobs, and yet it was one of my least paying.

  i learned a lot while working there, and try to pass on some of that information to others, so that they see the pattern.

  Thanks for sharing. Do you know if this can be adapted to other countries? In Germany, all US movies are dubbed, I think there is a period of some month between a movie being launched in the US its being launched in Germany.

  No Limit Texas Hold ' Em.

  read some books on this card game, played some home texas hold ' em.

  watched them on tv.

  the new bond movie casinoe royale has a great texas hold ' em game in it.

  That is funny. I bought a learning set and a book on Texas Hold'Em this week and bought "Poker Superstars II" today. I had no clue before and do not dare to play with other (human) players, yet. Well, I had a training session with my wife an hour ago.

  Homeopathy popular in Jehovah's Witnesses ?

  is homeopathy ( the treatment of a disease using, in small doses, drugs that produce symtoms like those of the disease so that one's natural immune system can fight off the disease ) popular among active jw's ?

  my son who was raised as a jw has a large ( adult male palm size ) fatty growth on his back.

  his jw mother is treating him with homeopathy, as is a so called doctor.

  Do you, too, see JW chronology numbers everywhere?

  i regulary look at my digital alarm clock and it says "19:14" and i think "hmm, used to be the end of the 'gentile times'" than i take a look at my number of posts and i have already passed 1914, 1918, 1925. when i look at car plates i get reminded of year numbers having been hammered into my brain.

  well, this is not really serious, but i get always reminded of my jw past.

  i have to add that chronology was something important to me and carl olof jonsson's book "the gentile times reconsidered" was an important one for me.

  it's really a mild form of OCD

  I do not hope so. I think it is just a type of selective perveption. Like seeing pregnant women everywhere when you are expecting parents yourselves. I think "synchronicity" is another term to be looked up: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synchronicity

  Since, in connection with the "blood question" JW learn from the WTS that alternative medicine is superior many fall for homeopathy. But I agree that many in Europe are trying it, even old-school doctors use some techniques and some is paid by health insurance.

  The start of this thread was no. 1931 the year Rutherford named his group Jehovah's Witnesses. ;-)
