And back to the OP....
Welcome to the forums, God_Delusion!
I am highly sympathetic to your position, and applaud the courage and intellectual honesty
it took for you to first face your doubts, share your findings with others, and finally come here.
There is a sea of people who have gone though similar crucibles, and many of the can be
found on this forum, so please stick around, read, rant and feel comfortable finally being
free to be speak your mind without threat of judgment.
That being said, from a purely pragmatic point of view, unless you want to get disfellowshipped,
you need to seriously tone down the honesty when dealing with the elders. Sharing your doubts
and increasingly damning findings with the elders (and JW-loyal family members) is likely a one
way ticket to exile town.
Now, if being brutally honest with elders and family is something you need to do for your own sense
of personal integrity, then do what you feel is right, and props to you for having a brass backbone.
You should know however that there may be another way... known as "fading": an intentional and
calculated process that ideally can end in both your intellectual freedom AND retaining family ties.
Of course, it would require you to pull back from being who you really are and saying what you really
think, and for some this editing of self, and cynical manipulation of a loophole in the rules is something
they cannot stomach.
Others feel that the "theocratic judicial system" is so irredeemably unjust and irrational to begin
with that it doesn't deserve an honest approach.
Regardless, glad to have you, and please keep us updated!

Questioning me as an apostate
by God_Delusion ini am an active jw.
i was born in the "truth" (i really feel uncomfortable calling it that) and am now married to a witness.. for a year now, i have actually come to see that the gb are just business-psychologists.
anyone who views jehovah's witnesses as a religion and not a cult, really needs to evaluate their way of thinking and they also need to look up the definition of the word "cult".. anyway, my parents recently came over on holiday (they live in another country and are also residents of bethel).

Well, there is an upside to Reniaa is showing up on these threads... she is a great cautionary tale
of the kind of mindrot that happens when one is desperately holding onto an arbitrary mythological
wordview.[inkling]

What are the Major Issues with Jehovah's Witnesses?
by AllTimeJeff init's safe to say that in most instances, it appears that the catalyst for the final move away from jw's, the real start of a road toward a jw exit, is something that affected you personally, whether that was you or a loved one/family member.
we hit our personal bs level, can't take it anymore,.
then we start to examine the flaws of jw dogma.. i would suggest that most do not start a jw exit because they examine the dogma on a personal study project and find out that something isn't right.

Watch out for cheating gas stations.
by HappyDad ini'm going to check all the gas stations from now on when i refuel.
this is from an email i got from a friend.
there was a report that 1 out of 4 gas stations had calibrated their pumps to show more gas being pumped than what you actually got.. here is how to check a pump to see if you are getting the right amount.. whatever grade you are using, put exactly 10 gallons in your tank, then look at the dollar amount.

This may sound silly, but sometimes I wonder if the internet is not alluded to in scripture??"And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth." - Rev12:16
Just a thought.erm... sorry, you lost me there.
