my parents just came back from the annual bethel meeting in brooklyn.

they felt the need to inform me of everything even though i was in a blur watching tv.

According to the Bible, only the Jew's are His chosen ones. Sorry, but I don't think any JW is a chosen one. Those who think they are of the anointed, apparently think they are in heaven already, actually more like, lost in space.

i was thinking the other day while i was listening to a finance guy on the radio what would happen if he got a call from an exjw?
the caller could explain that they themself or a family member belonged to a relgious group that believes the end is always near and therefore never saved for retirement.
how can they play catch up now?

i cannot provide any background info on my dad except to say that he is not an attender anymore, but is not apostate.. years ago, my dad showed me why he thought 1975 was wrong, and he gave me a date like 2011, 2012...back in 2004.. it actually made sense to me back then, and obve's posts reminded me of my dad's calculations..... only my dad's calculations were not based on addition or multiplying of random crazy numbers, .
but actually were logical assumptions based on the scriptures as he understood them.. here is his email to me...it might be lengthy, but it is easy to follow and understand.

I love your dad's open mind. It takes critical thinking to beable to do such calculations and unlike the WTS, he doesn't claim it to be factual. God's time isn't our time anyway. His calculations are totally different than those of us humans. to your dad, he gives us something to ponder over. Way to go dad!

i have not and so that only leads me to believe that they charter jets to move them around the world.
how do they travel?.
We probably never identify them on commercial airlines because they had to remove their halo's at the airport security. They don't allow halo's made of barbed wire.

as other posters have mentioned , i feel , too , that this is something that needs to be kept in the forefront of practicing jehovah's witnesses minds , as they will never hear about these settlements from their elders or governing body.
so , you folks know me well enough that i don't have a shy bone in my body , and if i see an opportunity i will take it.
I wish I had your ability. What you did was incredible. It's about time people approach THEM rather than allowing them to approach us. They call their Bible a sword? I like your weapon a whole lot more. It really penetrates a person. I wonder what he had to think about when he laid in bed that night. It takes humility to admit a wrong. How haughty the JW's are. They will never admit they are wrong. How can they when they are totally brainwashed to think that ONLY their religion is the right one. Perfect in every way. Sadly, so many think it is because of all the deception and coverups that go on.
I think I will get my armour all collected and be prepared the next time they want to attempt an attack on me.

??????????? are you saying mercury is in the flu shots? If so, well, hmm, maybe I should reevaluate my yearly routine.
The flu shot is usually only protection against 1 particular strain of the flu. A person can still get another strain. Also the immunities need to build up, up to 6 weeks time, so the flu is still possible to get during the first 6 wks after the fact.

for the last week or so we have been overran by a plethora of crane flys.
if we leave on the porch light at night, the next morning it's crane fly city.
when we leave the house they ascend out of the lawn and bushes and scare the kids (well only my daughter now, the boys are used to it).
Are they a health threat? Do they bite/sting? I thought they were just innocent creatures, unless what we have up here are different? (look the same to me)

i rarely ever set foot in the place and will go out of my way to avoid shopping there.
tonight i made the mistake of giving walmart the benefit of the doubt and walked in the door.. they didn't have the main item i was looking for, but they did have one other small item.
i headed to the front to check out only to find they had only a few check-outs open and all of the lines were far too long.
I've experienced worse and not at a Walmart, but in a grocery store in Germany, where sales clerks know NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL!
I was in a grocery store, got my groceries, headed to my car and as I was placing my groceries in the back of my car, I always check the milk bottles to make sure the caps are tightly closed to avoid leakage. The last thing I want is a car smelling of sour milk *yuck* I noticed on one of the milk bottles (glass) the cap would not tighten, the more I turned would result in it popping back open. Worn threads? Anyway, so I headed back in with that bottle of milk, went up to the customer service counter and told the lady that I needed to exchange this bottle for another one because it wouldn't shut tight. Her response? "Oh, but you can't do that!" Boy was I fuming inside. I took the bottle, slammed it down on the counter and said to her, "Wanna bet?" I marched back, got myself a new one, walked out of the store and nobody said a thing.
