I will never hear that song again in the same way. I will always think of your version. COOL!

i remember a brother telling me many years ago, that he could have bought a beautiful fur coat to his wife, but he didn't want others in the congregation to be jealous.
that was the mentality back then.
no one wanted to be a stumbling stone.. gee, today you see acuras and expensive cars all around the kingdom hall parking lot.

what would qualify as the most paradise-like spot on earth?
i'd say somewhere in the pacific islands.. tropical breezes, lying in the warm sun on beautiful beaches ..... and so on.. but funny isn't it that these places often have high rates of suicide!?.

The Antartica? *heehee* I think it would actually benefit us all if they went there. It would freeze their mouths shut too.
This posting is actually making me wonder what THE Paradise will really be like. If not like a tropical island, then what? When we die, then we will know and no sooner. In the meantime, I'm beginning to wonder what Paradise really is? I think I will believe Sylvia Browne's version. What she says, makes a whole lot more sense now.

following my last thread about how being a jw stunts your mental growth, .
i was thinking f how many people here that have recently come out of the haze...and seem to be "caught up" on their mental abilities rather quickly.
does your mind catch up to your age as soon as the "flip switches"....or does it take time living in the "real world" for a while that does it?.
It took me about 4 years after being DF to feel totally escaped. I think it depends too on what you take into your life afterwards, i.e. who you hang out with, what activities you take part in. The sooner you get exposed to the real wonderful world, the better. GO FOR IT...ASAP!

Good point. And so true.
At least I know I am not the only one who lacks skills in the arts. We were so deprived. *cryingmyeyesout*

P.S. How about we all gang up on the Society and run them aground. If we can't take them to court for what they did, let's show revenge....in a decent, proper way.
i was on this website that loaded this crap trojan horse called winantispyware on my computer and it ended up making my computer unbootable.
would i be able to do a repair install on my computer and then install antivirus software on the repaired computer?
You could try two other things, 1.) Do a "System Restore" back to Yesterday's date, i.e. if you got the virus today. or 2.) get an anti-virus program installed and download the latest anti-virus definitons and scan your PC to hopefully catch it.
Your idea, I have no answer to that one. Hopefully someone in here knows more than me?

if you can answer yes to the following questions.... .
1) did you have a full share in the ministry?
2) did you have a desire to do more?
Couldn't have said it better.

Such show-offs huh? Talk about "displaying ones means of life" It's one thing to have and another thing to flaunt. They are hypocrites.

I find it interesting how just because a person has alot or top quality of whatever, this does not make him/her materialistic. You can own NOTHING and be more materialistic than those that have it all. Again....JEALOUSY!

So sorry for what you're going through. My son-in-law (at the time, in his early 20's, he's now 29) had one or some, and when my daughter told me they have jagged edges, *ouch* I can only imagine the pain. *sniff* Hope you'll be up and at 'em ASAP.
