  dear friends,.

  it has been a long time since i have posted.

  time heals much pain, and finally, my family and i have been able to move on with our life outside of jw land.. many of you became our friends, our support system, and you know very well our exit story...we were labeled, slandered and disfellowshipped for having questions regarding the date 607. we sent out letters exposing the elders and circuit overseer to over 200 families.

  Do you want/expect your kids to take care of you when you're old?

  i had a conversation with my daughter tonight that got me pretty upset, and i'm wondering if i'm expecting too much from my kids.. both my kids went to outstanding colleges, have landed very well-paying jobs, and have very bright financial futures ahead of them.

  this makes me especially happy because my husband and i have always had to struggle financially (we both grew up jws and never got to go to college.

  ) it was a sacrifice for us to send them to college, but i would do it all again in a heartbeat.

  ouch....only read your post GGG....hardly ever do that....but it hit a nerve....so so sorry...that is just not right....no kid should think ahead that far and tell you anyway....wtf?????....sorry....i will catch up later but it just pissed me off...no parent would ever want to ask....no kid would either but look how many are coming home after college...or after a job loss because they NEED their parents....and yours could be the same....but noooooo they only think of themselves now.....sorry...just pathetic....now i am probably screwed....so hope i did not offend....just feelin real tonite....oomps

  friendly fyi...google voice feature gives us free phone service for 2012

  that is to any land line or cell phone in usa or canada!

  great way to save some minutes or money....you download it from google...i access it through my gmail account...click the phone feature on the left column and a dial pad appears....so all you need is a mic and speakers or a headset mic...and they give your laptop an actual phone number...when somebody dials my google phone number...it rings through on my cell phone!!!

  i dont even know how it does that but i have a droid and use everything google has for it..............enjoy......oompa.

  Terrible conduct by congregation Elders in hospital room !

  my uncle was rushed to the hospital last tuesday with severe stomach pain.

  (he was diagnosed with colon cancer one year ago.

  the doctors, family,and my uncle decided against colon surgery.

  Is my marriage worth saving?

  long story - will make it short - i was a jw for 4 years.

  hy husband took to it straigt away and has been a jw for 20 years - we were both converted by one of his workmates.

  our 4 kids were all baptised jws and thankfully 3 escaped (2 disfellowshipped, one fading) - so my eldest son is still in with his dad.

  we...as jw's were already such a small gene pool...but now...

  we here are so much an even smaller gene pool....and there is no substitute for commonality when making friends so we have a bond and brotherhod as well....and i can say that there is a great opportunity to meet and make new friends here.....you may have to be willing to travel a bit....but wow did i just enjoy meeting four of my new jwn friends here in vegas!!!!!!!

  i am infp.. some former witnesses in my hometown had a meetup last night...alas, only four of us.

  but it turned out we had an infp(me), two infjs, and an enfp.

  therefore, it turned out we were all idealists.

  ok...i did not even say on the other thread...and btw that was too smooth the way you posted about the other one mickey mouse....but ya....mine started with an E and the whole review of me was just so dead on....and i did not like all of it.....but it did say i was FUN, generous, and a good friend and that it is good i make up 10% of the population......which is like a quadruple F- right???......oompa

  jw's cannot help themselves.

  a couple who were very close friends with my wife and i when i was a jw had a few kids that grew up.

  none of their kids remained jw despite their heavy activity while growing up.

  How do you CHALLENGE yourself? Self-Improvement topic

  this is an important topic for me.. ever since i was a kid i was interested in self-improvement.. it was the result of my grandfather, surely.. .

  here is what my grandad (i called him, paw paw) would do to challenge me.. .

  he knew kids always need money to buy "stuff" and go places and do things.
