get hemoglobin from blood donations), why don't jehovah's witnesses.
is it true that you people were a part of.
3)objection:.
I would break this down into shorter emails. Maybe do only 2 or 3 objections per email and send it out as a special news alert message. Otherwise, it is just way too lengthy for one email. I don't like the lines "this is a toughy". That doesn't sound too professional.(sorry)
Another suggestion to perhaps make it sound more legit is to ask for their feedback. Like what kind of questions they may have run into in field service that they have had difficulty answering! Or what questions they have encountered by the public due to adverse information from news and other propaganda sources? Ask for feedback on how they have answered those questions. Ask for suggestions for things they would like to see answered more clearly.
Get them INVOLVED with feedback and it may make them have to THINK. Also it will confirm that your mail has been read and reviewed.
i have just been outed on this site due to my own stupidity, and lost my anonymity after just a short pleasant while here.
i have been turned in folks, compete with screen name/avatar, by family and i have a ton in.
it is easy to tell it is me, although i never use anyones names.
why not say " it takes one to know one"? WHO searched you out on the website? Why are they going to such great lengths to spy on people unless they have something to hide about the org? And could this person searching you out be someone who has something to gain for throwing you to the wolves? Are they seeking a star in their crown? Are they hiding a fear of their own? Maybe they are discontent and were searching for answers when they stumbled onto you!
This is such a coincidence because I wanted to post a topic today to ask if anyone had ever "gotton in trouble" being recognized from posting on this board.
I wish I could know what state you are in. From your pen name...are you in a Greek congo?
have there been any flashes of new light since the september 1, 1987 watchtower article "a time to speak" - when?.
specifically, i'm looking for any documentation (including but not limited to body of elder letters) that either restates or modifies the 1987 position regarding confidential client records (medical records especially).. thanks in advance!.
purplesofa says: "If HIPPA laws are violated to use medical records to DF someone from the organization. If the organization used that "stolen" information in a judicial situation, it would seem to me that the offended party would have rights to prosecute the organization if they so desired."
Don't you think that many of these JW's are too afraid of the wrath of God to even consider suing?
secondly, if they have accepted blood, or had an abortion, or VD...then they already have tremendous guilt issues. And to "touch God's annointed" for passing judgement on it when they are already convinced they deserve that judgement... I can't see that they would entertain suing. Too much fear already.
and from what I have found the Bill of Rights of the Constitution imposes limits ONLY on governmental powers. A private entity does not have to obey the !st Amendment. Private institutions are not bound by the constitution. The Legislature will not intefere with the practices of religion. And I think that when you sign that baptismal card or loyalty oath that you give up your rights of "free thought" for the society's dictates.

I am going to follow this post, Scully, and thanks for posting it.
I read on a website awhile back about a JW who had gone to dr. and had vd. Another JW worked in dr. office and discovered clients complaint. As his loyalty to organization was above loyalty to law of land, he went to elders and reported the JW with vd.
Granted this is heresay, but I would sure like to know if this tattling behavior of confidential matters is expected and promoted.
the article is at my site, here: http://www.atheistgeeknews.com/xjw03whyyouleft.shtml.
it's a list of responses about a few common reasons why exxers leave the society.
it's meant for people who "lock up" when they get asked a big question by their local inquisition.
Thanks, IssacJ. The harassment I experienced is because I am NOT a JW and hang out with a friend who is. Not really "hanging out" but I cannot go into the circumstances here as yet. It is my friend who is being harassed, however, the church thugs have made direct comments to me as well. I have addressed the issue and maybe someday will post more about it. Thanks.
i believe in god, but i also realize he may not exist.. if you don't believe in god, i really don't care, i'm just curious.. i don't have this need to start threads like "why you must believe in god", or other such nonsense, but some of you still have this "control" issue that you thought you left in the org.
it seems like you must still try to control what others think.
"think like me, or you are an idiot.
do any of you think you would have had different views now if you had not been exposed to wbts? I mean, have you let wbts dis-color your spirituality? Do you think you are throwing out the baby with the bathwater? Do you think you've gone 180 because of the disappointment and anger? Do you think you would have been more likely to believe in a loving God if you had been around a group of hugging baptists or spiritual group that was family oriented?
did jesus come to save sinners or hypocrites?.
if satan admits he is the biggest sinner of all....is he to be saved or destroyed with the hypocrites of self-proclaimed holy people?.
or saved with the sinners?.
when I was a child, I was entertaining myself by digging a hole. My brother had a tonka toy dump truck and would come and get the dirt and haul it away to build things out of it. One day my grandmother came by and asked if I was digging a hole to China. I went inside to ask my mother where is China? She took a globe I had in my room and when I put my finger on usa and other finger on china at same time I thought well, it looks like its straight across. I decided that indeed, I would try to dig a hole to China and see what was there. Daily, the hole got deeper. One day, the thought occurred to me that--oh dear! What if after the next spoonful of dirt, I encounter---THE DEVIL???? After all, we had been taught this idea in sunday school that the devil lives underground in a place called Hell. Then, I smiled to myself. I thought of how everyone hates the devil; we've all been taught that he is sooo bad. I decided that if I show him a little kindness and be nice to him that maybe we can be friends and he will help me dig my hole to China. I guess, even for a small child, I understood a certain principle---that maybe sometimes people are bad because too many other people have never been nice to them. A friend can make all the difference in the word.
