Most Frightening Door to Door Experience

in my hometown, this other witness and i were.

going from door to door one day when we reached one particular house.. the householder became so agitated by the presence of jws.

that he "sicked" his dog on us, but thank god it had a muzzle.

My most frightening door to door experience?

Going to the meeting for field service. God I hated that! Because I knew I'd have to go knock on doors pushing religion and talking to people who didn't want me there. I didn't want to be there more than they didn't want me there.

There was always something inside me that said, "Doug, going door to door and talking to people about such an intensely personal issue as religion is beneath you. Hell, it's beneath everybody."

I'm thankful that my gut finally won out.

I'm NEVER going back. (Damn, even writing this gives me nightmares!)

i esp would like to thank simon for making this possible.

i sincerely believe that the "net thang" will continue to play a role in helping jw who are sincerely searching for a confirmation that all their doubts and wondering over the years was not the result of them being spiritually weak.

Do you still get Nightmares?

do you still get nightmares?.

because last night i had the crap scared out of me.. i cant remember what i had been dreaming about, but something shocked me and i opened my eyes and i saw a figure standing beside my bed.. my body when straight into fight mode.. now this is the weirest part for me.i shouted at the top of my voice , very loudly "what the f**k" yet it wasn't me speaking , my body sort of took over and said it .my eyes sort of adjusted and the figure disappeared and a i think at that point i became wide awake.. my wife was woken up by my shouting.. my heart was racing and my hair standing on end.. i have had a similiar experience once before but i didn't shout.. the fact that i woke up shouting, really freaked me out.. what the crap was going on in my head?

Do you see what the WTS has been warning you about!?! Now that you are out, you are having demon problems! (Just kidding! lol)

I still have disquieting dreams about my former JW best friend, my brother, and occasionally my sister. I've also had dreams about speaking at a District Convention coupled with a Quick Build. Man!

I thought I had gotten past those troubling dreams, but they still come around now and then. I guess they'll go when they go.

Venice & Ho-Chi-Min also expressed interest, but I haven't heard back from him yet.

It should be a great time. The area is very beautiful, and you don't have to be a diver to come. We could all meet up Monday afternoon at the Plantation Inn for dinner and socializing. And then on Tuesday, we can spend the day out on the pontoon boats snorkeling and diving. Then back to the hotel for dinner and more socializing.

We don't have to spend a mint either. We can order some pizzas for dinner, and eat and visit around the pool area.

For more info on the Plantation Inn, go to http://www.plantationinn.com. Pontoon boats are $125 for the day. Perhaps those who are couples or individuals could chip in together on a boat. There is also a dive shop on the premises for any equipment rentals.
