flying into dublin and then driving all along the coast and ending up in galway.

does any one know of anything special i shouldn't miss and any place to be especially wary of?

Scotland has never held any interest for me, except for the Shetland Islands, where my dogs originated. I understand it's just a barren rock mass, though.

I'm leaving for the trip of a lifetime tomorrow! Flying into Dublin and then driving all along the coast and ending up in Galway. Does any one know of anything special I shouldn't miss and any place to be especially wary of? Hilary Step mentioned Limerick, as "Slash City." Those aren't exactly the kind of things you read about in the tour books.

Any help would be appreciated.

sorry for being so self indulgent...i've been meaning to post this but had reached my limit, so i put it in another thread.. this still upsets me.

i don't know why it should...perhaps because i am, as my ex-husband stated, self-absorbed and childish.. but as part of my therapy, i present to you..... the car.

i don't drive and never have.

This makes me so mad. You did something out of the goodness of your heart and got stabbed in the back for it. Did the elder have his head up his ass to suggest you give your car to a family that certainly didn't need it? And then they turn around and sell the car.........????

I know the sensible thing is to chalk it up to experience and move on, but geez, it sure is aggravating.
