barbie doll's grandson called yesterday saying the his fiancee, wants to meet us.
his hasn't willingly visited us for more than 10 years.
the last few times we saw him, was when we stopped his work, every time we invited to come and visit us and he never has.
I would meet them.. my first thought when reading your post was that the young woman marrying your grandson wants to meet the future great grandparents of the little one they are bringing into the world. This would be something I would want as a new mother.. meeting those who will be family to my new family.
I hope it turns out beautifuly..

the way i know it, is that the song's original title was supposed to be "in the garden of eden", but the guy was sooo drunk at the time, that he was only able to muster up "in-a-gadda-da-vida".
I've been told I am demonized so many times by certain family members.. used to bother me.. now I laugh. Now I say, yep, thats me.. me and my bent halo with horns sprouting through.

i have found some evidence, mostly anecdotal, to indicate that the equinoxes can be times of extreme mood change, due to the accelerated changes from light to darkness.
if one is diagnosed as bi-polar, the equinoxes may exacerbate the condition.
any thoughts?

Seasons definitely have an effect on mood, I have personal experience with this myself. I really need to make sure that at this time of year, and through the winter months, I take extra care of myself. Extra vitamins, especially D and B's are so important, as well as a good excercise routine.. if not, I know that I am at risk of a crash mid winter.
Sunlamps are also effective in helping those affected by the winter months, havent tried it yet, but will do so, as I have heard great things about them.
LOL and ewwwwwwww at the hairball pic... clippers and a giant bottle of hot wax is needed for that fella.. ick ick ick

this may not be a forever goodbye, but its certainly a goodbye to this stage of my life because i need to make real progress instead of just talking about it.
i may post the odd post on a rare occasion, but its not part of my plan really.. i posted a topic called the truth, which was originally going to be my farewell to this forum.
i think with my current situation, having a son and having a family that requires my attention it would be wise for me to move on in some shape or form, because i dont want the negativity of the watchtower society to rub off on my son and give him any of the grief and worries i had when i was growing up.

just a little continuation thread of another one i did.
would be interesting to see what fun things people like to do, so we can get to know one another better.
I really enjoy the outdoors, hiking, cycling, or just taking a walk through a quiet trail. I also enjoy cross country skiing, although havent done it here.
Music is a great source of enjoyment.. my next wish is to take accoustic guitar lessons. Will have to get on that one.
I love a good workout at the gym.. it clears the mind and soul.. and feels great.
Reading is a source of great relaxation.. various topics.. great quotes are a passion, I am constantly looking for more great thoughts.
I also enjoy a quiet game of chess, not a pro, but do enjoy.

hi everyone, don't know if you remember me, i posted a topic a while ago because i was in need of advice about what to do in my life - so to all you who took your time and posted caring replys and good advice, i just want to say that i've made up my mind - i'm continuing my fade for the fourth month and i'm gone from the borg for good.
if some elders decide to stick their nose in it, i'll shut the door myself.
there's no future in staying in there for the sake of anyone else, lying to yourself and everyone else.
