How do I flirt, not acting desperate at the same?
by tsunami_rid3r infirst i'll blame the fact that growing up as a witness, it was hard flirting with girls.
most of my younger days were spent at congregation gatherings, and it was hard trying to go up and talk to the girls.
both parents had to know about it, and it was quite a serious issue.

I had my eyes fixed (lasik) about 2 years ago and threw out all my makeup so I didn't inadvertently reinfect my vulnerable eyes.
I also had to relearn how to apply my make up since I no longer had to compensate for thick lenses.
I swear by Revlon lipstick.
I used maybelline mascara and covergirl concealer. I love eye shadows and usually buy Maybelline unless i fall in love with a colour from another line.
When I turned 30 I started using a moisturizer with an spf to try and stall the aging process that is starting to run rough shod over my face.
I would really like to find a under eye puffiness reducer. I used to use one from Avon but i find it too sticky.

by Paralipomenon inthere would never be a good time to have this conversation.
quite different from most people raised a witness, i have very few horror stories about my upbringing.

Did You Purposely Avoid Certain People In Your Hall???
by minimus ini knew of some elders that were very intimidated by a certain elder's wife.
she regularly wrote letters to the society and circuit overseer telling them about the foibles of certain elders.
she was the type that when she raised her hand for a comment that you better call on her or you'd be approached by her right after the meeting.

Does The Watchtower Society encourage Home Schooling?
by journey-on inwith their discouragement of higher education, you would think the wts would encourge parents to.
remove their children from the public education system altogether.
if just the basic reading, writing, and.

When the CO was standing at my door a few months ago we talked a bit about schools. He suggested that home schooling was the best and I should look into it since I am a stay at home mom and have the time available.
No I didn't kick his teeth in.
I said home schooling leads to young adults who are incapable of surviving in our society and home schooling them does not prepare them for the real world.
He backed off.

MY DAD MIGHT DIE DUE TO THE 'NO BLOOD' DOCTRINE
by Mary ini don't have much time to post as i'm headed back to the hospital, but my father collapsed this morning and had to be rushed to the hospital.
in a nutshell: he needs a blood transfusion as his hemoglobin is dropping (bleeding internally), but thanks to this fucking cult, that's not an option...........he'll accept the fractions but those bastards from the blood liaison committee have already shown up to ensure he doesn't cave............... for those of you who still believe, i'm asking you to say a prayer for my dad........and if anyone from crooklyn is reading this: you better hope my father doesn't die due to your fucked up rules, .

So an old scotsman stumbles drunkenly towards home. He passed out under a shrub and lays there until morning.
Two schools girls stop and look at him, lying there.
The first one says "I wonder if it true what they say about men who wear kilts?"
The second girl says, "That true scots wear nothing underneath?"
The first one reaches down and carefully lifts up the hem of the kilt.
The girls look at each and wonder what the big deal is.
The second girl takes ribbon from her hair and ties a bow around "Little Scotty" and they continue on to school.
The drunk wakes up and goes to relieve himself. He looks down at "little Scotty" and exclaims,.
"I don't remember what happened last night but it looks like we had fun" -

New Love
Many years ago there was a young woman who was also a new mother. After a long painful delivery she hadn't had a chance to really look at her new son. So many people kept coming to visit and admire the little one that she hardly had a chance to hold let alone count fingers and toes. Then it was time to sleep and the nurses wrapped her baby up and put him across the room in a bassinet.
At first the young mother was grateful for the rest. She could finally stop smiling and saying it was all worth it. At that moment nothing was worth that kind of pain. She wondered if all new mom's had to fake it like she was doing. With this unhappy thought she drifted off to sleep.
A few hours later, the young woman awoke with a start. After a few moments of confusion she remembered where she was. Then she heard the sound again. It was her son making the smallest sound she had ever heard. She carefully eased herself off the bed and shuffled over to him. He was so beautiful! She knew she wouldn't be able to get herself back into bed if she tried to carry him so she carefully tugged the bassinet across the room trying not to make too much noise or bump her son too much.
After getting back into her bed she carefully lifted him onto her lap. He was so tiny and he looked familiar somehow. She unwrapped him and studied every inch of him. She kissed the top of his head where the suction had bruised him. She undid his diaper to double check that yes he was a boy. When he protested the cool air on him she tucked him up close to her and just stared at him.
As she nursed her new son the young woman realized that yes it was worth all the pain.
