  hi all:.

  i need your opinion about one web site its www.timestime.com .why i am asking for it ?

  i am more than surprised about subject of this site and now i am confused what its right and what is wrong.this site contain information about god end of times and so on and i didnt found anything what can convinced me that that they are mistaking.think is i am studying with jw but they didnt want to help me to answer my questions because they said its not healty to read anything else except their books.i didnt listen because i am used to do everything on my own and now i am really searching.so if you could tell me at least that they are mistaking on their site and show me how ill apreciated.

  Welcome to the discussion board.

  Don't worry about your English. It's a lot better than my husband's. He's Turkish and we have had a lot of laughs over things he has said or written over the years. Anyone who suggested he was thick or daft because his English needs a bit of work would have me to answer to. But unfortunately some people do treat him like that. I must have looked like a buffoon in Turkey then because I could hardly string a sentence together let alone write it!!!

  If you are interested in finding information on JW topics a bit more reliable than the 'time' one why not use the links at the bottom of this page, have a look around and follow their links. For obvious reasons JW's will discourage you from seeking information not contained within their literature but the great thing about some of the articles in these sites is that they refer you to actual JW publications so you can verify the facts. The society has done a great job of making a fool of themselves.

  If you want a specific topic thrashed out just post it in here and we'll do our best to help with minimum misunderstandings.

  and how many, due to the societies teachings have given up on god all together ?

  Hi,
  I'd just like to say it's been a long journey since I became an ex-JW to the point I am at now. I believe in God, a creative force, but struggle to reconcile my concept of Him with the biblical god.
  I puzzled over some things I read in the bible as a Witness but I accepted it as the Word of God as such. Now I look at it without the rose-coloured glasses and quite often don't like or believe what I see.

  Question re: REVELATION

  recently i read some information that state the catholic church now admits that the apostle john definitely did not write the bible book of revelation.

  also, another source stated that revelation may not be an 'inspired canonical' book.

  rather, revelation may be the work of a raving lunatic imprisoned on patmos, who had illusions of grandeur, and may have been on drugs as he invented this fantasy we call also call apocalypse.

  is he a good advert for jws as 'law abiding citizens' or what ?

  although i guess he is just following the example of his leaders in how they think the law applies to them!

  Pets and the Watchtower

  my cars cheap cd player is on repeat playing track 9, bob dylan singing tomorrow night during my hour long commute to a job not suitable for a 58 yr old man.

  returning home the same tune plays just short of distortion, a funeral dirge for wessie.. tomorrow night.

  will it just be another memory, .

  Just wanted to say sorry about your loss.
  I have lost 5 dogs, 2 cats, and 8 birds in my life and every time I break my heart. My hubby is not an animal lover as such and tries to stop me acquiring more because he can't bear to see me upset. At the moment I have a Bengalese finch I rescued 3 years ago dying (she's just completed her lifespan) and every time I check on her I am ready to crack up. One day she is laying on the floor looking terrible then the next she is eating normally and jumping about making plenty of noise. She is called Noelle ( formally Noel till I found out he was a she) because I got her at Christmas time. Some would say you can't get attached to a finch 'cause they don't interact like budgies or parrots but try telling that to my heart.

  As for JW's been discouraged from keeping pets I was shocked about that and must tell my mum who has got 2 dogs and gets more love of them than the brothers that's for sure!

  I'm sure your puppy will bring you much joy and laughter.

  open your hometown white and yellow pages, (if you have 1000's of forms) and begin subscribing everyone!.

  most HATED thing about the meetings ...

  hey ya'll ... ain't tuesdays, thursdays and sundays even better nowadays ?.

  i was wondering what it is that you hated most about the meets ?.

  the one thing that used to really rile me was the pressure to control the children - the frowns and the disapproving looks when they were just behaving like normal kids .... the worst of it all for me was seeing any little person being taken outside and hearing the loud slaps even when the door was closed .... what is it that you least miss ?

  Where do I start?

  I hated talks on contributions that made you squirm. I hated the boxes at the back and brothers who poked notes in the crack when you were waiting to stick a quid in LOL.

  I hated end of the month meetings when I got chased round the hall for my report which I was too embarrased to put in . About the same time I would be dodging the brother on the mag counter who got high blood pressure over my thickening pile that I couldn't afford to collect and knew I'd never place!

  And more than anything I hated being in the Ministry School. The stomach churning moment when you are handed your slip and you know without checking it will be on the platform not in the side room and your householder will be sister Superspiritual who will ring you every other day to see if the talks ready to go over and you haven't even looked at the blooming material yet! (how many times did you go over it hurriedly in the toilet before the meeting?)

  Must stop myself...
