U.N. Change Proves WT is a Fraud

It is apparent that the Watchtower Society has been busy making
some doctrinal changes regarding the United Nations in Bible
prophecy. What you may not realize is what these changes can tell
you about the honesty of Watchtower leadership.
    Please consider:

If you really believe everything you are taught as a Jehovah's
Witnesses, why do you need a scripture telling you that the U.N.
is a tool of Satan, a counterfeit of God's Kingdom? Shouldn't
that be an obvious deduction if you believe that,

    A) Satan the Devil is real - and rules the world
    B) God's Kingdom is a real government and man's only hope -
which the Devil seeks to defeat.

Simple isn't it? The Devil rules the world - and so puts up a
    clever substitute for God's Kingdom.

Shouldn't such a message be shouted from the rooftops?
Shouldn't this Devilish deception be advertised, advertised,
advertised? ("The U.N. is from the Devil")

Why would the Society "softpedal" this? Why would they abandon
    these interpretations completely?

BECAUSE THEY DON'T REALLY BELIEVE IN ANY OF IT! They have
become completely cynical - and ARE NOW JUST MAKING UP ANY
KIND OF DOCTRINE THAT SUITS THEIR PURPOSE, LIKE A BUSINESS.

They need to be nice to the U.N., you see. They don't want
empty-headed Witnesses going to U.N. headquarters and refering
to it as a "disgusting thing" in God's sight.

They need human rights agencies to put pressure on governments
like Europe, to keep their tax exemptions. You aren't going to
get that kind of service if some wiseguy downloads Watchtower
articles condemning the U.N. - and 'worldly governments' -
as tools of the Devil! They'd also like some help getting into
Red China or North Korea, if possible (in their dreams).

Take these changes to heart, you lurkers!
    They are fooling you
They don't have any particular faith in the Bible at all.
They are 'making it up as they go along'.
The Watchtower is a business, pure and simple

and this cowardly change they try to "slip by"
    proves it.

Exactly, and it's rather interesting to see how much support they do get for playing whores.

On official US government web-sites, there are hundreds of reports of JWs being "persecuted". They are even "persecuted" in Norway (!!!) according to the US Government.

Amnesty International has used the Jehovah's Witnesses as "This Months Case" - and I have written questions to no less than 30 different addresses to Amnesty International. Even more interesting is the fact that NOBODY have answered to none of these - and I can assure everyone these letters were polite and factual.

The WAtchtower is working political, and is seated in lots of political committees at the moment, like the Helsinki Commission, where most of the Legal Dep has been present - among other things.

Today the Watchtower is all about money. Nobody gives a flying fart about the old seniles in the Governing Body. They are allowed to play their pity little games as long as it doesn't conflict with business. And business is what it's all about. Weapons production, security companies, real estate companies, travelling agencies, microwave equipment, grocery stores, Car sales, fruit exporters, printing, stocks - you name it - and the Watchtower do have a finger there!

I wonder how much they secretly pay for political elections? Why would people from Legal Dep be invited to talk in Congress? Because the JWs are so cruicial to the US? Hardly - and it smells like a "payback" all the way.

I guess their involvment with US Intelligence that started during WWII is still active - which would explain a lot!

Word of caution on the use of the word 'proof'. It has not yet been established that the WT has indeed changed its position on the United Nations thing. The prudent thing to do would be to wait and see.

And what about political activism -- like the marching around with leaflets in France (see the Sept. 1, 2001 WT) -- isn't that a no-no? I would have thought it would even be a DFing offense, given their pompous official statements about neutrality. What a crock!

Yeah they placed a full-page ad in the wall street journal, not cheap at all and very political.

As to proof, Frenchy - consider the change we already
know about in the past year - the Watchtower suddenly
shifted the application of scriptures regarding the U.N.
to a future organization that would cause desolation,
not the present organization. That future organization
would have been the "disgusting thing".

Your insights into Bible prophecy and the Watchtower could fill a thimble to the brim. LOL

Actually, it is not time yet for us to denounce the UN. There are however several chapters that contain Jehovah's yet-to-be-revealed judicial decisions in the form of scathing missives, that in time will be issued by the faithful slave against the UN. Paul though, for the meantime, said to give to the one calling for honor---such honor. So, we recognize the UN as a legitimate institution and honor them as such. We don't denounce the United States or Great Britain simply because they are the 7th head of Satan's wild beast, why should we vehemently denounce the United Nations organization? We give them the honor that they call for. However, when the time arrives for Jehovah to declare war upon this world, when he issues the chilling call to the nations to beat their plowshares into swords and get it on, then our relationship towards earthly governments will take a decisive and crucial turn. Until then though we try to maintain a peaceful co-existence with the governments of this system. / You Know

I guess so. The Watchtower has, though, printed an article stating that they don't accept the Norwegian government, and Norwegian JWs don't need to do as they are told by them. A cute story in an old mag. Norm has the copy, as far as I know - and when he returns from Germany, I guess he can provide a short translation of the interesting statement.

    You deserve an award!
