the rest of that song is completely trash, but you have to admit that part where the beat changes and it gets all thunderous.....is serious business.
i mean it goes from yellow canaries to godzilla in a flash and you can't help but to get into it.
leave it to the wt to not capitalize on the part that's actually good.
As a kid, I looked forward to singing this song at meetings. I would get really loud on the "KISS THE SUN...." part. One day I asked my mom why Jehovah would be angry if we didn't kiss the sun. It wasn't until later that I truly understood what the song said and meant.
Some of the songs would be real chargers if they added drums and bass.

I used to experience sleep paralysis a few nights in a row a few times a year. I was convinced it was demons and other JWs told me they had experienced it to and chalked it up falling asleep with the TV on or something that they brought into the house. I had them almost weekly during the time I begin to have strong doubts about the JW religion but then a few weeks later when I decided to just walk away from the religion, they stopped.
The JWs that I've told about it stopping said its because I now have Satan's protection.

i haven't seen anyone remark on the growing trend of apostacy globally, specifically within the last year.
i mean apostacy that's not just among jws.
The show "Community" is a comedy about the friendship of a group of folks that you would least expect to be friends at a community college. The black guy in the group is suppose to be a JW and they occasionally will make reference to the strangeness of the JW beliefs. The character has since become a roommate with a guy in the group and they don't reference the JW stuff as much.
There was an episode where his roommate had him go undercover to celebrate Christmas and another episode where they celebrate his birthday without celebrating his birthday.
I wonder if the JWs are told not to watch this show.
for more than 30 years i believed everything that came from the watchtower society, especially since i lived at bethel for a while and i knew a lot of the gb members, who to me seemed intelligent and personable.
at the beginning, the emphasis was on the bible, the kingdom, jehovah and jesus.
but gradually over time, there would appear an elephant in the room that no one seemed to talk about, such as the change in the understanding of "generation.

Realized something was wrong when I was a kid b ut didn't wake-up until I was very much an adult. The signs were all over the place but I held on to the thought that tomorrow could be "it" and made it through to the next day. But eventually, that wasn't enough. One morning, I awakened and quickly sat up in bed and knew it was all a lie.
Things have never been the same.
the witchtower is being more careful now about putting a date.

JWs don't call it a church because it refers to those that will go to heaven and most JWs are not planning on going to heaven. Also, it's just another thing to separate them from everyone else but it doesn't work because most people call it 'the Jehovah Witness church' anyway.
in the typical do as we say , not as we do type mentality - the wt society puts forth in this current wt study article ( jw's only wt ) - that it's not " advisable " or " reasonable " for jehovah's witnesses to seek entering their own business ventures , or further themselves by getting a college education, or even have a career - due to the imminent coming of the alleged " end of the system " or alleged " paradise " .
the guilt and control used here is ridiculous.

If it is stately this clearly, I'm going to ask a few people point blank to wake up. Hypocrites! This really makes my blood boil. Do you realize how many people this religion is holding back from doing better for themselves? This is one contributing factor to teen pregnancy increasing among inner city teen JWs, they don't have any aspirations because they can't pursue anything wothwhile under JW doctrine.
