I'm 18 and I want my baptism undone.
by LtCmd.Lore ini was recently informed that i have the legal right to have my baptism nullified.
but apparently there is a time limit on it.
i have to do this before i turn 19. if i succeed, they will announce at a meeting that i was never a jehovahs witness, and i will not be disfellowshiped or disassociated.. i should also point out that i was baptised at age 9.

Taking control of my life....this is what i'm gonna do.
by R.F. inas many of you may know, i'm currently an ms and pioneer, and been missing meetings consistently for almost 2 months.
i have been concerned about my dad's reaction to me wanting to leave the org and he's been questioning me about missing meetings.
well i've decided now not to jump through the elders' hoops anymore.

Ladyofsmiles,
the exhusand not in the truth took my children and I never saw them again. So I divorced the brother who got disfellowshipped and he's not been back since.
Do you know why he took your kids?
probably because he wanted to save them from a CULT and from becoming brainwashed mindless idiots like their mother...
and guess what? You're a brainwashed mindless idiot right now for believing that there's an armegeddon coming, for believing a bunch of old guys in brooklyn WHO HAVE NO MORE SPIRITUAL GUIDANCE THAN YOU OR I DO.
I was once a brainwashed mindless idiot too.
Then I woke up on my own, saw the heartlessness and cruelty perpetrated by the brothers and sisters, the hypocrisy. and these are supposed to be god's people? bullshit. ALL OF IT, is HORSE MANURE.
WAKE UP!

ANNOUNCEMENT: "Special" Awake! for November. Confidential ;-)
by BFD ini was asked to post this by a paranoid jwder.
i'm an elder and have stated as much on this board.
call me paranoid, but i'd rather not stick my head up and say "hey bethel monitors, come after this guy!

I wonder how let down they will be when they read it and realize it's just the same drivel, just with ''special edition'' added to the title...
I remember feeling let down, but just thinking it was me who was in the wrong for not thinking it was anything to get overly excited about.

How do you see the world heading if all religion was eliminated?
by Guest with Questions inmany, like dawkins, think that religion is the root of all evil.
hypothetically, if all religion was eliminated and all people stopped believing how would you see the world in a few years?
with atheism on the rise do you think that society will improve or deteriorate?.

Ok, I hope I'm not repeating what has already been said.
If religions were taken away from the people, people would shout out that their rights were being violated, and fight to get religion back.
If religion were made mandatory and forced on the people, those same people would fight against their oppresors and fight to have religion removed, or fight for the right to say no to religion.
If religion were taken away, it would be human nature to fight for it...because people always want what they cannot have.
Just my two cents.
The only people who probably wouldn't give a care about this whole thing, would be athiests and agnostics.

Interesting developments with my wife.
by Paralipomenon init has been quite a while since i've provided an update but recently things have been odd.
there have been alot little things i've picked up on that leads me to believe my wife is really struggling with the concept of remaining a witness.
i provide gentle coaxing here and there.

Isn't Jehovah a wonderful God?
by nvrgnbk inwhen i look around at all the people in the world, i'm comforted to know that jehovah will soon destroy them.. i'm talking about people that don't attend our encouraging christian meetings.
yes, people that don't zealously participate in the preaching of the good news.
'what good news?

Why aren't the elders in your hall HELPING YOU??
They should be the ones, IF THEY CARED ABOUT YOUR SAFETY AND WELFARE, who should be picking you up and taking you home.
That said, you should read a few more posts here and then decide if it's worth putting your life at risk just to go to the meeting...and to be humiliated by being shunned, no one talking to you, what kind of LOVE is that???
Jesus would NOT do that to you. Jehovah would NOT do that to you.
When a sheep is lost, the shepherd goes looking for that sheep, he doesnt kick it to the side of the fold and tell the other sheep to ignore it.
I hope you see what a heartless organization this really is. Their disfellowshipping practices are not bible based.
I am a witness. I am not DF'd or DA'd. I have never shunned anyone who was disfellowshipped because it is just WRONG and goes against my conscience to shun someone that is a friend or family member.
Please read more, there is alot you need to learn about the society. They are cold and heartless and cruel.
They are not followers of ''The Christ''.

Can/Should someone be in love with more than one person?
by AK - Jeff innot a question that affects me personally - i am dutifully bound to a single woman now for 33 years [omg that is 1/3 of a century already].. but do you believe that it is possible or profitalble to fall in love with more than one person at the same time?
in western culture it is normally considered 'betrayal' to do such a thing - but thoughout history and in cultures outside of the west today - it is considered acceptable, even normal.. typically it is the man who has more love interests than just one - not the woman - but some cultures have supported multiple partners for women also.
this is not a thread about judging others - just an inquiry about opinion.

but a second wife would be out of the question. Then she started to think about all the things she could make a second wife do, cooking, cleaning, looking after the kids, shopping and started to see the appeal. I informed here that she was more interested in a slave which she thought would be a great idea.
I had a hearty laugh over that one, Para!
