After having come in like a bat outa hell,then after 12 mnths,having 2nd thoughts,the P.O.came round for a shepherding visit,decided I was a lost cause and tried to sell me life insurance.(Honest truth) A few weeks later his brother came round with a softer approach trying to sell me the same thing.I ended up being in for 33 yrs. That was one of the big bugbears with me,I considered my wife`s need to get all the help she could to build her up spiritually,so I always disciplined ,or took the kids out of the hall if they played up,when they were little.It always amazed me to see the vast majority of bros.oblivious to their kids playing up and the wives struggling with them

well, time for an update.... new house is in the country, just over an hour out of the city.
we came up and camped in the new house on settlement night...much to the shock of the real estate agent who thought we were joking!
i mean, it does need some work, and the plumbing is dodgy but works, the bathroom has all the pipes exposed and the toilet is akin to sitting in an old shed.... any way, we stay and a friend loaded up the truck saturday night and delivered our furniture sunday morning, it was not a rest saturday though as the place resembled a rubbish tip.

i am a born in who holds absolutely no animosity toward any witness.
i have had weeks and weeks of trouble trying to log in, but i'm here now.. long story short, i am one of 4 children who were raised as witnesses.

Because we can no longer agree with the conflicting/about face, of doctrines and interpretations of scriptures published by the WTB&TS during their short history doesn`t mean that we hate the people we had known for so long and, in most cases had a great relationship with.Some people take a long time to wake up to the" truth"Some people just never wake up.It`s sad......But your here,take your time to absorb the things you learn and use the brain you have to reason.

i left the religion about 93/94 and i never saw the "awake" mag with this" subject".is it possible their are still any floating around ?i would dearly love to get hold of one.not a photo copy,but an actual genuine publication,it was in the early 90`s i beleive.

i have always struggled to understand what prayers god answers and which ones he avoids.
most religions teach that god answers prayers, so people must feel that their prayers are being answered, yet the type of prayers seem to be very selective.. .
if god answered broad based prayers, then children in third world countries would not be starving, so he does not seem to interfere in global issues.
from my memories of what was taught by the Jw`s".the only prayers God really answers is the one for him to give you strength to endure whatever comes your way" Snoozy
