  Their doesn`t seem to be any end to their deception.Even though this dates back to 1974,my first awakening was the misquoting of the late Carl Sagan (evolution book )also the higher education and blood misquotations to support their "theology"

  convinced as i 99% am that the wt society is all we have concluded, i feel i owe to myself and my children to be 100% convinced before actively trying to extract them.. first up i must say, doctrine is of little interest to me.

  what gets me is the provable wrong-doing, the hypocrasy, cover-ups, double standards, you know what i mean i think.. on that sort of stuff, i feel it right to look at the counter arguments and proofs offered to explain the wt side of things, both by wt soc themselves and apologists.. therein lies the daunting road.

  i grew up in the 'truth', so i never got to make sure of all things before getting baptised.

  Sometimes it`s a long process disengaging oneself from this religion,I was a convert at 19 and it took many years to eventually break free from the controlling influence of the religion.If you have been brought up in it then it`s that much harder.(I was in for 33 yrs )

  I was disgusted with their misrepresentation of quotes from worldly people on the subjects of "Evolution" Carl Sagan

  and higher education by educators who were completely taken out of context to validate the wathtower point of veiw

  So how many other quotes were misrepresented ???? to" prove" their point

  Cautious Newcomer

  i am still a member of the jw's organization.

  i have been puzzled over some of the teachings for many years but as i seemed to be the only one querying things among my local jw's i felt as if i was going crazy.

  i was very relieved to find this site, a few months ago, full of evidence to back up my findings, and so much more.. i am so grateful to you all.. i do not want to leave the organization until i have planted some seeds in my family to open their eyes.

  Is the Bible Really Scientifically Accurate?

  the society (and others) love to quote job 26:7 where it says that "[god] suspends the earth over nothing" and isaiah 40:22, where it speaks of "the circle of the earth".

  they use these scriptures to boast about the incredible scientific accuracy of the bible, proving god had a direct hand in everything written in it.. the trouble is that elsewhere in the scriptures, opposing views are put forth explaining then-unexplainable physics and geographical notions.

  one is job 26:11: "the pillars of heaven tremble.

  If the bible were truly inspired by God then it should not be inaccurate when dealing with facts even if not understood by bible writers.

  I have just come in on this post and addmittedly no tread through all the previous posts,however satan the devil is the father of the lie and original deceiver of humankind,what suffering has he gone through these past 6000 + yrs??? bugger all !!!Their is no bible god,it`s all a man made con to control and regulate the masses.The bible regulates a % of the population with christendom, Islam regulates a % Judaism another % of the population,India`s religions control another %,chinese religions another % Buhdism another% taoism another% and whatever goddamned else is out their. It`s all a matter of control over the population.Going back to the beginning of my post if satan was the cause of all this why hasn`t he gone through any of the suffewring that humans have endured these past 6 centuries.(remember he still had access to the presence of God in the heavenly realm thousands of years later ref. Job ) No the God of the bible does not exist.

  Clarification on Blood in Bulgaria

  it's been established that the wt convinced the bulgarian government that there are "no sanctions" on jws who accept blood transfusions, in order to obtain legal recognition by that government.

  my question is this:.

  does the wt actually now allow bulgarian jws to accept blood transfusions without consequence?.

  A person who is a jw and accepts a blood transfusion,by his/her own actions has rejected the teachings of jw`s thereby disassociating his/her self from the christian congregation.Treated the same way as a disfellowshiped person.

  i'd like to know who you all are on the board.. you dont have to identify yourself personaly as i understand some need to be ingocnito.

  i am also curious to see if any of my old childhood and adult life friends have made it onto here.. me: lived in ballarat 70s, naracoorte in the 80s, adelaide in the 90s.

  traveled to york w.a as a teen and to alice springs and brisbane early twenties.. of course, if you need to be silent, thats fine too!
