by LouBelle intoday, at a park restaurant, this old lady saw a young fat lady walking past and started making fun of her with her friends.
the fat young lady saw this and i could see the look of hurt on her face.
i couldn't help myself, i got up went to the old lady and told her she was being hurtful and childish considering her age, and she should grow up!

I read somewhere that the 32 pages have something to do with booking. Each little section sewed together in their books I think is 32. Someone who is the know may know for sure.

Most Awkward, Embarrassing, Comical things you Experienced as a Witness ?
by flipper inmany of us i'm sure experienced embarrassing or comical moments as a witness.
some things we'd rather just forget , i'm sure, but some things helped us think on our feet, quickly in helping others .

I was a teenager at a circuit assembly. I was talking to friends. All of a sudden we heard a horrendous noise, and chairs started flying into the air all over the place back and forth and what ever it was, was throwing the chairs and other items into the air and was coming across the auditorium towards us. Needless to say we were getting extremely concerned. One girl was getting hysterical so I picked up and put her on a table. Finally the commotion quit. It turned out to be somebody had knocked a fire extinguisher off the wall and broke off the nozzle turning it into a runaway rocket. The place was mess , but they hurriedly cleaned everything up and went on with the show.
One of my favorites was again as a teenager, we were out in service on the navaho reservation. A sister took her new car, bad idea. She knew nothing about country living. She started to drive up to a house that had sheep and goats, literally. Back in this country you do not drive directly up to the house for it was considered inconsiderate and stupid. We tried to tell her not to do it because of the goats but she just ignored us. You see goats love to walk all over things, in particular cars, and we knew that. Poor woman learned the hard way. It was not a pretty sight.

Stupid Knorr! Should Witnesses have Sunday school just for kids?
by Witness 007 inimagine sitting thru the watchtower study on a sunday with your 6 year old and 9 year old kids....the topic "fornication" the discussion explains how oral sex and touching of genitals is still fornication...why do kids have to sit thru this??
or the bible reading is about lot having sex with his daughters....this type of thing is not for kids!
and why should kids be forced to sit quietly while someone drones on for 2 hours?.

I have always thought they should have a sunday school or whatever. In sunday school they make learning the bible fun. Sitting in the meetings, the kids only learn to hate the whole arrangement. I know that I would have much rather been in the sunday school, and I hated school.

After Kingdom Hall bomb blast = Twisted Witness logic! Saved by Jah!
by Witness 007 inin sydney in the late 80's a bomb blew up the kingdom hall killing one man and injuring many.
the hall was badly destroyed.
later stories spread about how jehovah "saved" the congregation.. 1. the brother who died was large and sat in front saving many lives by taking the full impact.

When lying isn't lying JW style
by bronzefist ini know this is an old topic, but there are many new ones onboard so here goes..... i went to the book study (it's been more than a year since i last had the pleasure)... revelation book chapter 39 paragraphs 1-13. when paragraph 13 finally comes around...... 13 does this mean that jehovahs witnesses are against all government?
they obey the apostle pauls counsel: "let every soul be in subjection to the superior authorities.
" they realize that as long as the present system lasts, those "superior authorities" exist by gods permission for maintaining a measure of order in human society.

Reduction in Pio Hours & New Message?

i have heard over the last couple of weeks , from 2 different sources that the pioneer hours are to be reduced to 60, this has come from uk bethel sources, but not seen anything posted here about that here... also that the new wt for the witnesses contans an article that gives 3 new points of 'revised light'... any ideas what these are about?.
i have also had lots of fun recently, questioning people on what the scripture mean whan it says .. do not forsake the gathering of yourselves together, even more so as you behold gods day drawing near... in view of the recent book study stuff....

They should just go ahead and make three different type of jws, the priestly class (whomever), the isrealites, and the people who will be happy just to hang on to coattails of the isrealites. The priestly class do not have to get in any hours, the isrealites have to get 60 hrs or more, and the coattailers can get 10 hours or less, but they have to kiss the ass of the 60 hourers , because the 60 hourers are kissing the ass of the priestly class. They practically do that now.

Interesting Phenomonena: "Weak" JWs Are Now The "Strong" Ones!
by minimus inyears ago, the "weak family" were the ones that always were nice jws but considered "weak in the truth".
they still went on their vacations, might've sent their kids to colleges, had plenty of "worldly" friends and so forth.
but if they had to make a stand, let's say on the "blood issue", they'd rather die than accept a transfusion!

I was discussing this same thing with my sister a couple of days ago. I am glad you brought it up. I have some lontime friends who have been in organization for many, many years. They were not considered spiritually strong, but I always considered them good christian people. I always thought god was not going to destroy people like this. They follow bible standards, love their neighbor etc. My sister agree with me. I think she really starting to see that the society is full of crap, even though she says she thinks it is the truth, but after we had talked for hours her real feelings were coming out. I asked her the same thing I ask other witnesses, at what point in time was it the truth. It certainly wasn't during rutherfords time, for example, because everthing he wrote is considered apostate today. She didn't know that rutherford wrote everthing his self.
