Where were the present GB members in 1975 and their ages the
by Lostandfound in42years have passed since the great 1975 expectation delivered nothing.
blame for the expectations laid at feet of the faithful, 'it's your fault , you believed us so you are responsible for the let down'.
i have asked this previously and repeat the point, where were the current members of the governing body, 43 years ago.

LOST AND FOUND- Good points you make. I look at governing body members in the same light as I looked at Harold Camping when he said the world was gonna end in 2012 in his " religion " . All it was - was a scam in order to get control over people and their money. WT leaders are NO different.
I love the title of your thread. " Where were the present members of the GB in 1975 " .
The present members were young pioneers deceived like every other JW by mind control. The more pertinent question now is , Where are those older GB members from 1975 -- NOW ?
They are all DEAD. So it proves their promises were false. Your comment , " Those men must know the responsibility the WT has for the position of very many who rushed to obey........ " . Well, those GB members from 1975 don't know anything right now- they're dead. But even when they were alive did they care about how people " rushed to obey " their every word ? Did they care that they the governing body were selling lies to 6 million JW's. No. Because none of the GB ever had a conscience. All they wanted was control, money, and power over 6 million JW humans on this planet. And now think about it- the GB couldn't even prevent their own deaths from growing old and dying.
Might be a cold hearted view- but it's honest. What's even colder is how these WT leaders have deceived people for 138 years since 1879 about an imaginary " end of the system " . Disgusting. Let them rot in their graves I say. Like the singer Jim Morrison said, " No one here gets out alive . " Peace out, Mr. Flipper

Eleanor Rigby was a really sad song by The Beatles if you listen to the lyrics. One of my favorites from them

Hoser : It reminds me of Jim Morison's song with the Doors called " Soft Parade " .
He starts : , " When I was back there in seminary school , someone put forth the proposition that you can ' petition the lord with prayer, petition the lord with prayer, petition the lord with prayer. " Then he adds, " you cannot petition the lord with prayer ! "
Then the minor chords come in on Ray Manzareks piano- beautiful song, Great message. Kind of how I see it as well

How many remember the 1969 8 day convention?
by seek2find inanybody remember the 8 day 1969 international convention.
i was at the braves stadium in atlanta all 8 days with a sunburn and then wet clothes after the rain storms.
if you were there (not necessarily in atlanta) do you remember anything about it?

The only saving grace for me was getting my JW mom or dad to buy me the grape flavored snow cones at lunch time at Dodger stadium in Los Angeles. Eating those 2 or 3 snow cones a day was the ONLY thing that got me through those 8 day assemblies at age 10 years old. I swear to god. Peace out, Mr. flipper

The "faithful slave" urges confession in latest Watchtower!
by The Searcher inwatchtower october 2017, page 11, par.
17 - confess and abandon secret sins.
some christians who have committed a serious sin try to cover it over in order to avoid embarrassing themselves or disappointing others.

If " not confessing " hinders the alleged " holy spirit " free flow in congregations - then this WT article should also be applied to those elders who sinned 20 to 25 years ago before becoming elders who failed to " confess " their adultery or fornication keeping it hidden- yet - years later they still got appointed as elders due to the directions in the elders manual that says " if a sin happened long ago Jehovah has forgiven it " . They still get appointed as elders. Yet they hold rank & file JW's to the wall saying, " Confess or else ! " Bastards.
It's such a crock of shit - I swear. The GB and WT leaders expect a hell of a lot more out of rank & file JW's than they expect out of elders. Why should rank & file JW's " confess " sins- if appointed elders sins aren't held against them ? Does that sound like a REASONABLE question ? This hypocritical organization makes me want to puke.

What woke you up?
by MrRoboto infor me, i think it was just the right time as i was starting to wake up on other fronts as well (anyone who had went through these will know what i mean).
but it started when i was looking for what info goes on a publisher card, which led to me reading one person's story (ex bethelite) which was pretty crazy to an all-in jw but who trusts those apostates...?.
then i started watching videos on cults, as if my subconscious was trying to tell my concord mind something... when i saw a particular one about a young man in lds getting ready to start their 2 year preaching campaign, including a school, social activities etc, i realized that i couldn't tell the difference between the folks of this mormon cult and the jws (save for some religious differences) .

TALLON- Isn't it amazing that the people we thought would support us- end up turning on us just as we're going through life changing crisis points in our lives ? We were trained to " trust " these elders - then they throw us under the bus ? Like you- I learned a lot off the Internet after I exited the Witnesses. Take care I hope you and your wife are doing better now that freedom is in your life. Hang in there, Peace out, Mr. Flipper

What woke me up ? Unjust treatment from the elders who I saw perpetrating this treatment towards others- as well as towards myself. I decided that if they were not giving counsel as they should and pulling counsel out of their ass and calling it legitimate - while wrecking people's lives with this alleged " counsel " - there was no way in hell these guys had anything called " holy spirit " that appointed them. It's all a sham

PALE EMPEROR- Your story of your brother's awakening brought tears to my eyes. In a good, happy way. I'm so happy for your brother and you as well ! To be able to communicate with your ex-JW relative like a normal human being- and have HIM communicate like a normal human being without the JW cult lingo - my god, what a beautiful thing to experience ! Your story gives me hope that my JW daughters may awaken someday. As long as there's life- there's hope. I'm glad your brother didn't take his life. The WT Society leaders should be imprisoned for crimes against mankind . Another person has bolted for freedom of mind ! Outstanding ! May you both grow closer to each other now. Take care, Peace out, Mr. Flipper
